I looked at this thread a few days ago and wondered why someone was posting a link to a J-body site, so finally I looked. I did decide to join and represent, but I wanted to put out a good face for NICO, so instead of giving in to instinct (the handful of Cavaliers I see in my area that are modified look like they came out of my ***, so ricey it hurts) I explained the plus sides of the 240 and what I thought Chevy had actually intended with the Cavalier, explaining that much like Honda with the Civic, it was an A-B vehicle, not a driving machine. However, I just noticed that someone there linked to this thread shortly after my post, then quoted me saying "The ignorance on BOTH sides is astounding." based on some of the things you guys have said on this post. So I'm going to reiterate my overall message, this time over on the Nissan/Import side. People want to modify cars and their loyalties to different sides will obviously follow what they learn and know. What we all need to realize is that some people take some cars seriously that we don't, and that this is okay, because all cars have some potential. The debate about build quality and longevity aside, both cars have some potential, so let the hating stop and realize one thing: Being ignorant gets you nowhere.
