That made my day. But onto the topic, I see everyone's POV and after thinking about it, I'm going to get my suspension, brakes, body pieces i'm missing, and random stuff like that, drag on my current motor till it blows up and swap in something then.richiev8s13 wrote:""JDM Women Are Like JDM Car's They Really Only ScreamWhen U Put Something Big And American In Them""
end of story lol
There just aren't many options for the S12. Really there's only CA, KA, FJ, SR, VG. Those are all pretty much, more or less, bolt in. However, and this is an interesting point, why would anyone go from a 6 to a 4? It's like swapping an 8 for a 6. Only motor I would want to downgrade a 8 cylinder for is an RB. I want more cylinders or the same amount. I love every Nissan motor but none of the 4 cylinders they offer have enough torque for me. Yes the KA is torquey but I don't want to have to build to get the amount of torque I want.
In conclusion, there's no replacement for displacement. Boost is not a substitute because a V8 with the same size turbo and the same amount of boost as a I4 motor will make more power.
So my choices are either a VG34+boost or a V8 (American or Japanese). Since there aren't a whole lot of V8's in S12's I thought it would be different and unique. Both, in the end though, would cost the same when I'm done. It's just a mater of one being able to be swapped quicker the the other.
We should rename this the displacement dispute.
