i have to agree, i disappeared for like a 2 months and its definately gotten colorful around here...maybe the mods or greg can clean up it up some. Maybe get rid of the companies(sp) that are getting bad reviews

The only annoying ones are the ones that have sound when ever you mouse over them....

Those pissed me off until I just installed the ad blocker for firefox.

Use that. I didn't want to at first because I though it would leave nasty looking gaps or what ever on the page...but you cant even tell its working, there are just no ads. Its perfect.

If you don't already use fire fox get it, then goto tools->addons and download ad block plus./troubles.

there is one on the bottom that automatically selects itself when you click the thread, and then i wants you to pick a used car. really annoying. I'll see if i can get screen shot. BTW I'm using Safari for mac OSX 10.4

zomg, your internet is terrible use whatever thats not IE and offers an ad blocker.

AZ, I would imagine he is talking about the talking smiley add that constantly screamed "SAY SOMETHING!" if you accidentally touched it, or the Google ads that seem to sell nothing but terrible products from shady dealers.

Uh, there are no ads of that type on NICO. Best scan your PC. All we have are the banners and Google ADs.

The only problem I have with our ads is that they don't automatically pop up and cover the entire screen when someone posts "Whehr doo I finds zee SR swaps motors?" and "Cut springs or get coilovers -- which is more $$$" threads.

Occasionally when I click on a top it scrolls all the way to the bottom which is a PITA. But every so often I get an ad screen where it counts down 15 seconds or I can click skip ad.

I ran spybot search and destroy and Ad Aware, and I was good there.

On topic, I know what you guys are talking about with the thing that makes you wait for a thread. It only happened to me on occasion and then I just hit back and clicked the thread again and it works. I just reformatted my compy so it's all cool now. I don't see the point of the classmates.com ads though. Hope they give NICO money...

I haven't had ONE single problem with any of the ads. Except for all of the blinking, but its on the sides ne ways. No pop ups, no page jacks, etc... Lay of the p0rn

Yes please, this thing is annoying the crap out of me, Every time I go back to the thread list it pulls my browser all the way to the bottom. Ive adblocked it like 12 times, and it keeps coming back.
