Yep, if you're talking about the injen intake for the KA. I was thinking about cutting it up because it would make a nice pipe for my intake before the turbo seeing as I haven't got one yet.

The casting number I believe is 52F but I will have to check the number, I took a pic of it. That number is all over the block and head heh.

I'll upload pix tomorrow, I'm a little slow on the pics because I don't like using the family cpu. It is a sloth lol.

I'm having a tough time getting the battery tray out, tips appreciated but i'm about to search for them too.All the parts are in and now it's on. The holidays are over and Fedex and UPS are caught up. Sad thing is, I'm waiting on a clutch alignment tool. The flywheel as you'll see 2morrow was resurfaced and looks hawt. Too bad it's not lightweight. I'll upgrade it another day.

I don't have pics of the ic piping or BOV yet but this is what was laying around last night when i took pics. After getting a clutch alignment tool i'm installing that today and hopefully dropping the motor in.This is why I haven't been updating since xmas aside from the parts flow being slow, new toolbox, had to fill it with tools, organize and get the rubber mats for the drawers . resurfaced stock flywheel ftw. technically it's a hair lighter LOL.the next 3pics are for your sr guys that know your stuff. My coolant lines have little pipes that branch off and I don't know where the hoses went. I know where that big one goes above the oil filter, that's easy. But the little one that goes under the alternator, i was just going to loop it back to the same line. The back one by intake runner 4. Both of the ones there I really have no clue as to where they go, and I haven't found an s13 blacktop or redtop manual to help. i only have the ca and s14notchtop fsm's.Pic of the casting number:The downpipe is ebay and the turbo elbow is megan style but still ebay. jdm motorsport to be exact lol. It's not bad, ground down the welds inside and everything. Better than stock is all I ask for now, I hope to get a split chamber design later on though. The only reason I bought these 2 is because 1: my stock elbow had broken studs and 2: not many motors including mine come with downpipes (unless you buy a clip)one more thing, i dont know where these 2 lines on the back of the IACV go, are they coolant or just vaccume?

It would be cool to do the whole car like that arctic camo but I really love my gunmetal/charcoal gray. I think it's called concorde gray though, I have to re look up my paint code. I have a black roof though

Yes the trans was done so shops would see that I take care in my car, even the parts noone sees. Plus when I get under it from time to time I'll have a nice canvas to look at while oil changing rofl. Thanks Keegan (mrgreeneyes). You should see my diff cover. WC's and mine are ballin'. I'll take a pic of it later on. It's filled with the s15 hlsd and new halfshafts. That's all for now.

last night me and legacyofphoenix did quite a bit of metalwork. It doesn't look like much but it takes lots of chiseling, crowbarring and hammering to get the battery tray out. I also cut the coolant hard line shorter for easy hook up to the heater core. You're going to want to use these tools to do both jobs above.1: A drill with a cutting wheel or some kind of dremel cutting tool2: A chisel, this one's stanley made in the 50's. Lifetime tool for my grandpa, still going strong. Do lifetime warranties transfer over to new lives? lol3: A big flat head screw driver4: Nice strong hammer to drive the chisel and flat head into the welds5: A wal mart crow bar.

My new intake plenum and aicv gaskets from FRsport including a circuitsports thermal intake gasket. New drive belts too.

Thank you so much Idaho! I don't know why the iacv needs coolant... I'm REALLY tempted to not run any to it. I mean the KA one doesn't use coolant... I already used up the feed line to it for the turbo water line because I cut the metal back as u can see. I've put the motor in the car, and I'll have a fun update tomorrow. (it's not all good news but you'll see)

Holy crap was that thing a pain to get out. I don't understand why they made it so unbelievable hard to get out. Some simple screws would save so much headache lol. But we showed nissan who's boss with a crow bar, chisel, and a mallet lol.

thats pretty much how it was. the cotter pin wouldnt budge when we were removing axles for his lsd swap, the side i was working on came off fine but from his side i hear " this ones stuck" so i came over and messed with it for awhile, then he tried again. finally i was like "i know what'll take care of this" i ran into teh garage and came out with a torch seconds later

sorry for the thread jack tom

It's interesting the original meaning of 'white elephant.' That's what my KA was. I kept trying to fix it and make it my DD, but it never worked right. So it was a white elephant, never practical for use.Anyway, the thing I forgot to do many of you might recognize in the previous pics. I forgot to put the gusset/gasket plate on for the transmission! So after inserting the input shaft last night I realized this needed to be done, and the only way to do it is to remove and reinstall the flywheel and clutch again.I'll be working on this today and then hopefully getting all the mechanical things done with the motor ie: driveshaft, shifter, motor mounts and ps pump in.On the bright side, Mrgreeneyes helped me finagle the motor into place.
