Yeah, defiantly dude. I'll bring my friend with his 93 FD3S so you won't be the only rotary owner there.

Looks good man! Would you be able to snap some pics of the hose barb onto the hotpipe to see how you did it?

Can you get some pics of that when you do it again?? Cause it just seems to me that the pipe is to thin to tap. Meh, I'll ask you more details online. lol

Alright here's an update. Finally took time off from Mrgreeneyes' car to do some shyte to mine.

I've been working on perfecting the gauges for awhile now, and I finally have completed them, aside from still having to put the clear plastic in tomorrow.stained glass krylon paint from ACmoore in a spray can red just like my taillight paint for the needles. O yea, my clock bulb is red too.PIAA super white 194 bulbs for the lighting of the cluster. This is about the whitest you can get the stock faces because of the blue plastic the numbers are printed on.Rolled back my odometer to about where the SR should be :P I don't know how I'll get past inspections but i'll see what I can do. I'll just tell him the new odo came w/ the motor. Oh and rolling the odometer on these cars is cake. I assumed it would be harder on newer cars versus like 60's models, but not really.

Greeneyes gave me these for a super deal in exchange for my sleepless nights and services. NOT what you're thinking! Car work stuff haha I am probably going to cut the stock rear panel so these will show through nicely or something creative.

Here's my meticulousness showing, I didn't like how the sunroof would just drain into the rocker panel. I figured the old passenger seat belt bolt hole was a more clean break to the outside of the car. Rigged up some vaccum hoses and sealed it off with asphalt repair tar at both ends. I'm looking forward to long life w/o rust outside the wheel well. I'll cut the hose shorter when the adhesive dries.

Not worried about rain in the wheel well going up the tube. That tube is really freaking long I doubt it would make it up to the sunroof thru the smaller vaccum hose I have at the bottom. I might have a finished product update tomorrow, plus a weight savings pile pic.

I still have the hood to finish with 400 wetsanding and then primer/paint. I even have the paint, but I don't want to paint in this cold cold weather so I'm waiting for a 50+ day.

i beg to differ! i was taking a curve at 45mph and my CF hood flew up into my windshield. and even worse, another car was commin at me! but luckily the window didnt break. unluckily....the support frame tore away from the hood leaving it wobbly has hell and theres a deep crack from where the hood met the windshield/roof line...

I finished up the speakers and gauge cluster today, as well as some other things. So here's a picture update.speaker on the passenger side. 6.5" Kicker circular speakers These sound WAY better than the rear 4x6's besides, the location is so much nicer than all the way back in the hatch area. Take note of my sunroof tube here also

I have been running these up front for 6 months now, I like em. Kenwood 6.5"s. The kickers are probably better quality, but these are really nice for the price.

I'm releasing my CF hood fixing skills. Not gonna do a write up, how often does someone bust CF parts lol.... Plus I'll do one with regular body work later since that is more applicable to others. If u run your fingers across it's smooth as butter... well melted butter.

Guess who sent me a free sticker when I ordered my copper gaskets for the exhaust header and turbo inlet from them!!! I was STOKED! I told them in the order that I have seen their work and really respect it.

My weight savings pile grows. Some seat brackets and rear panel brackets. I'm not including the rear panels because I'll be cutting them up to fit a speaker grill in the armrest area.

That's all for now peeps.

The hood looks good! You could always take out the back seat for some weight reduction.

PS: Nice sticker.

Ah I see now lol. I don't remember it ringing at all. I was asleep at keegans and also missed my alarm for class because I set it for 730 PM.... I'm quite a noob. So instead of class I went junkyard shopping at prices! I have treats for keegan and I got a lower fuse block cover finally .

I've always wondered how i could mount my 6x9's in that small compartment and still have it look good when i cut out that panel..... I'd love to see how you manage to do that! If you've seen where my 6x9's are located you would understand why I need to move them.... Do you have any other pictures of how you made those panels for the speaker to bolt to and how you made it fit right?

So could you explain how you are fixing your carbon fiber hood? My friend busted his hood the other day but its not bad its just the clear resin on top of the actual carbon fiber strands. He was asking me if i knew of anyone that could fix it... I was like i know a guy thats trying to fix his. So any info would be helpful

Well I'm fixing it with fiberglass and fiberglass resin. If your friend is interested in fixing it he'll have to paint it because I've searched and asked companies but nobody suggests clear resin to use. It has to be buffed anyway, hard ****. u can im me in my profile too if u have Q's.

Thanks JRPS13, thats definitely true. But the motor swap part is done for now.

Like any car guy i just keep the ball rolling with more things to maintain or fix or mod or install. It's a sickness but a good one.

Mini update since the coupe build is taking up the majority of my time u know who u are nub.

WC and I went to the wal mart of junkyards today something like 19 acres of cars. he scored a mint hatch for 25 and I got little dinkly things for the interior like courtesy lights and map lighting. We picked up a list of things for greeneyes' coupe too.

I'm finished with the gunmetal spray for the outside of the CF. Letting it cure tonight and then tomorrow I can mask it off to spray the interior vented triangle gloss black to match the roof. Sadly I couldn't leave this carbon fiber see through because the mini cracks in the resin shown through. This is stage 2 of a 4 stage paint job. primer, gunmetal, black, then pinstripe between the two, then clear. It's only cans though, but I like to make it nice since I don't have an air system I do what I can w/ my skills.

U guys may say rice but i've always wanted one w/ a clean square intake inlet for this because of the increased flow to the filter behind the light, so I'm cutting this sometime later this week and then bending/fiberglassing the hole for an intake vent. It'll be clean and hot. Function over form ftw.

my lil map lights and the courtesy lights i stuck in the panels already but have to wire them when its nicer out and when my hood is done.
