good stuff. a lot of stuff i wouldn't do. but that's one lucky silvia.

edit looking at how detailed he got. i think the restoration is to keep the car, and a car in this high of quality will be worth big $

+50mm from Wise Sports.

I've been following the build of this car for many, many months. I must say, he did the whole car correctly. It's really worth going back and reading it from the beginning. I'd love to build up an S13 like that, but I like driving my cars too much to put that much spit and shine one them. But man, those fenders, those wheels, and that stance....I'd take his S13 over any other, ever, evAr.

G'day fellas

Good to see I've made it this far across the interweb. The build has cost a bit, but I've only done it as I could afford (lots and lots of extra hours doing freelance over the past 3yrs). Not sure how long the undercarriage will last like it is now, but it will be hurt hard once it's on the track.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask (don't forget there's a search engine on my web site though so try there first).

Cheers and stay watching, plenty more to come.

Brendan

Here is a similar one, if not the same one-

It's made by Wise Sports. Not sure if there is an American supplier, worth a search though, as that is a very clean front bumper for a stock look.

Haha!!! Finally someone found out about this site. Believe it or not, I've been following your project for a long time. Actually, you've been my big time inspiration. Some of nico members already know how anal I am, but I'm not even close to you, Brendan. One of the best Silvia out there in the world, and most of all, you restore this car with passion.

I have 2 more inspirations. You guys might know them already.

The front 'bumper' on mine was an option for the car when it was sold at the dealership in Japan, commonly known as the Nissan Aero Sport option and consisted of front bar, side skirts and rear pods. They're a fairly rare commodity so getting your hands on them will be difficult and would say would be direct from Japan. We didn't get the Silvia/240 Coupe in Australia...they're all imported (known here as Grey/Gray Imports) under a government scheme where they're complied to meet ADR's (Australian Design Rules).

The front bar you see on the pic above is indeed a Wise Sports item. Very nice too with it looking very similar to the Aero Sport Bar but with a slight extension to the lower part and minor lip. Not sure who does Wise Sports/M Sports stuff in the US though. But you can start by looking here:

http://www.wisesports.co.jp/

Note though that most Jap kits are expensive, if not high quality.

well if you can find someone to bring it into the US, take a look and see if there's anything on Yahoo Auctions Japan

http://search1.auctions.yahoo....cc=jp

A guy in Australia does it but not sure if he would ship to the US, don't see why he wouldn't though:

Zac's a top bloke - but because they are rare you will be paying a premium for sure. Can't help you with the Wise Sports connection, the link to their distributor list isn't working. Maybe send them an email...can't hurt.

I'm surprised to see such skinny rubber on such wide wheels.

On my truck, I've got 235 rubber on a 7" wide wheel. The other truck has a 275 on a 10" wheel, but then it's a 60 series tire too.

I did have 245's on the front with some 595SS rubber, but I wanted a higher performing tyre and 245's weren't available in the RS. The reasons for going for smaller rubber on a rim ranges from less tirewall flex (which can be good and bad), better clearance of the guards when lowering, available tyre widths.

Thanks man
