I've met Glenn who runs stillensucks.com. Great guy. Awesome car to see in person. He was my inspiration to get into 240SX's.

Yeah, they're Wise Sport rear guards that have been riveted then fibreglassed into the standard body lines. The original guard is cut and shut on the inside to give the correct wheel/tyre clearance. Front guards are also from Wise Sport, however because I have a fender brace under there, it fouled on the guard vent, so it was deleted to give it a stock look.

There are plenty of companies that make wide guards of varying sizes and quality in Japan and China. The cheap stuff needs to come with a warning that the money you save on the guards/kit etc, you lose when it comes time to fitting in the body shop.

Thanks man, I really like the front fenders too with the "no vent" much cleaner. Also what is your underbody coated with? What did you do prior to applying the stuff? Sandblasting all of the dirt/surface rust off? Thanks

There wasn't any rust underneath, so didn't see the point in blasting it. So used a good cleaner first called POR15 Marine Clean (http://www.por15.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1260/.f) followed by a good dry. Following by some prepsol (Wax & Grease Remover) for the hard bits, then finally the paint. Which again is from POR15 called Chassis Coat Black (http://www.por15.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1410/.f).

Hahaha, the age old question. To be truthful I don't know. And I'm still spending...but it's all paid for. As I may have mentioned, a lot of extra freelance work went into paying for the car over and above my normal job. If I had to put some figure on it, I would say it's getting close to AUD$40K outlayed, but I've managed to get quite a lot of the parts at trade price in return for design work for suppliers.

Sorry I couldn't answer with a solid figure.

It's only clean because it's all been repainted. Won't be that clean after a summer of driving around I can assure you.

If you look closely, you can see the odd brush stroke.

Yep, same. There are some bits like brackets, subframe etc that I would powercoat rather than use a pressure pack (spray can) for longevity of the finish. But otherwise all good.
