Not saying they're crap, just high maintenance.
yeah but once you've went for a ride in a bridge ported 2nd gen you have to wonder why you own a piston motor......and forget about the cost of that bridge ported 2nd gen.....

nothing "wastes" RX7s more than a rotary, period! This dude is @560hp atw with an untouched head + two $150 turbos and is only getting warmed up. Try it with a rotary and you'll see what wasting money is... and wanna place bets on how long the 560hp rotary will last ? Motor is a 4g64/DSM 2.4L hybrid. Hard to find a more rugged & powerful import motor.Strange how he makes it lean, as all other installs are straight up. He told me the B2600 bellhousing used to mate the original 5spd gbox causes 'the lean' (so transmission sits upright).

At first I was disappointed to not see TMS's boobs, then that tasty pic popped up and knocked my socks off. Now im in limbo.

TMS, we, no, I, need a TMS approved story to quell my troubled mind. Please?

We require actual progress pics now Mike. If there are no pics because you just haven't taken them, then you need to get off your lazy a** and take the dang pics. If there are no pics because you haven't actually made any progress, then you need to get off you lazy a** and go make some progress.

Glad I could help .

I need a welder so I can tack the thing together. I don't have a 220 drop at the house. I am looking locally for an engine-driven welder I can afford.

I can MPS you my TIG if you want. It is 220 though but you are welcome to use it. Just buy the gas and the wire and you are good to go.

It's not the welder that is the problem, a $300 MIG would do, it's the drop. I am looking at close to $1500 for the hookup and I can't justify that on a rental. I can justify a engine-driven one that can go with me when I leave.

Dude I've wired in plenty of 220v outlets in my day, and I'm only 21. Its really easy. Your crazy japtastic house/warehouse/shop has got to have the goods to support a massive outlet, I mean look at it! Its freaking ridiculous! Get off yer duff, throw in a massive breaker, and run the wires to the proper part of the house.

I know the voltage over there is like 100 v or close to it. Isn't the ovens over there 220??? My father took all his stuff from Germany and wired it in to the 220 line running from the oven with no problems.

Don't worry Mike the welder was only about 1500 bucks. If you blow it up just send me a skyline or something I don't use it anyways.

Worst case you can get a big badass step up transformer and run it off that. My stereo runs off of 220v and I have a transformer from radio shack stepping the voltage up so itll work properly.

Also, Lincoln Electic makes a variety of MIG/flux core welders that operate on 110v for between 3 and 5 hundred bones.

I have to have the electric company run the line from the pole, they want that much. To give you some idea of how scary-old my wiring is. When I am running the AC if I turn on the microwave or run my chopsaw the houses main breaker trips. I rent this place, I ain't sinking money into a static 220 line. I'll get an engine-powered MIG and tack this thing together so My friend can TIG it up.

Well if you find someone who has a 220 line and want to save some cash just let me know and I will MPS this thing to you. My wife bought it for me for Christmas last year and I have yet to use it.

110v MIG. yay!

There are alternatives! Every man should own a welder. I for one am probably going to ask for one for christmas.

Heh, we've done most of the recent projects here with a 110 , has an insane duty cycle though and actually uses more then most 220's grrreat welder. Funny thing is we have a conversion cable and run it off the 220 outlet. We also have a couple 220 welders... if my neighbour gets approved for a loan we'll have a TIG in house too... just to play with.

My point in that whole rant of course is to convince Mike to just move here, we need more mad scientists in the garage!

That aside, you need this done asap so I can gasp and drool. Panties will drop, bras will fly and champagne will fall from the heavens when this best prowls the streets.

Uuuuuh, what does this have to do with "the manifold from hell"? You really should have started a new thread man. To answer your question, itll run really rich and you wont be able to rev it above 3k. It will have absolutely no power and honestly you'd be better off walking or riding a bike.

Mike stop being a pussbag and buy your own welder. Shoddy wiring is no excuse. Your house is made from poured (probably steel reinforced) concrete, probably circa wwII. It will never fully burn down.
