So instead of dropping $900 (going street price of everything) on Kouki aero that I won't worry about exploding on the highway and fits perfectly, I should drop $400 at Chaser Aero for a generic URAS style kit that hangs low as hell, is made out of FRP, and fits like poo? Just to have an extra $500? That's not even a paycheck...
oem aero is great for many reasons, but be prepared to pay well over $900 heres the breakdown of average prices i've seenbumper $300 lip $400 (dicountinued)sideskirts $600valences $200wing $200positioning lights $50turn signals $150bumper brackets $50bumper extensions $100

I can't wait to see some progress on your hatch. If it looks any where as good as your coupe it will be something to see.

iv always liked your coupe, but good decision going type x hatch. im curious to see how it comes along, i realy want to do the same when i get a hatch. oem aero sounds good but looks pretty expensive, does anyone know how bad the version select replica kit is?

go hatch!!!
Those are terrible examples. I dislike both other than the blue one's wheel setup.
Dizel01 wrote:Hey as soon as you put you coupe up for sale, let me know. I def want a coupe to start a new build.
Most def. Do you happen to have any stock suspension stuffs laying around?

Lol that's why I said "street" price. I don't plan on getting raped with no lube by buying everything brand new. Zilvia classifieds For The Wolf.

No.
hotrodjoseph wrote:does anyone know how bad the version select replica kit is?
Not too bad. I've seen examples of some cars that they fit perfect but most fit like s*** because people think you just bolt it on and go.

Anyway, I made some progress on taking the coupe apart today. Got the coils, RUCA's, wheels, spacers, seats, and steering wheel setup off today and got the car sitting on jackstands.

If anyone wondered how I get a jack under my car, this is how.

It was hard as hell getting a slammed car on four jackstands. You need to definitely play with initial jack placement or else you'll find yourself scratching your head.

More pics when I get out of the shower.

Lol I just wouldn't consider them inspirations. The white one, there's just nothing that screams anything spectacular about it and is sitting on Elite's. The blue one has the wrong side skirts, the wrong rear valences, and there's no Kouki wing. The blue car's wheels on the white one would change the story dramatically.

Anyway, here's what I got done today:

JIC Coils and Greddy/Cusco strut bars off:

Wheels, PBM spacers, SPL RUCA's, and Rays lugs off:

Momo + NRG + BOSS off:

S14 seats off:

Ran out of daylight to take off my Cusco tension rods. Tomorrow morning I'm gonna try and take the B&M shifter, tension rods, and custom intake off before work.

looks good.

i will say this though, you won't find all the type x parts for 900 even in the classifieds. most times bumpers go for 200, rear valences for 200, and sidskirts for 400-500. you're at 800 right there and thats not even with the brackets, extensions and lights. you aren't gonna find crazy good deals on that stuff since its pretty sought after.

as good as full kouki aero looks, it is so damn played out. they all look the same to me. i say go for sexy style. looks just as good, but less people rock it. im guessing you could get a full kit for less than all the kouki stuff too.

what are you thinking wheel wise?

One can hope.

SexyStyle does sound even more appealing after looking through recent classified ads of Kouki stuff. I definitely want the Kouki wing, at least.

Wheel wise, I want something concave. NOT RPF1's and NOT FN01RC's. I was thinking something along the lines of NT03 or XT7's. Something pretty out of the norm. Definitely 17/18 again regardless of Kouki or SexyStyle.

The thing is, NT03's in concave look hot, but the 17x9.5 come in +44. And they don't concave. And they're +44...

ya i think your car would stand out more with sexystyle aero.

especially if you got xt7s in 17x9 +17 and 18x9.5 +12 which are the most aggressive sizings.

not sure what those sizings are though

I'm hoping you go as low with the hatch as you did with this coupe.

Can't wait to see it, dude. You definitely have the lowest car around.

Perfect for stock body and S14 LCA's in the front.

The height is definite already.

I tried to put the 962's on the Accord today. Epic failure. Totally rubbed the spring. Plus I didn't have any thin lugs to put on that fit Honda's.

Spec V's on the Accord tomorrow, though. WITH pics.

Dude I heard about this thread today. Sad to see a beautiful car come to an end? But I'm looking forward to the new addition! Look at those wheel lips sittin in the grass! Was always a fresh and flush example yo.Email me about pricing on them, but I'm just dreamin'.

Hatches are definitely sexier, I need to fix my dings and dents... but black roof first.

Got the exhaust off today. Broke the bolts holding the test pipe to the stock DP because they were SO rusted.

My trusty scrA'PEXi N1 Evo catback with resonated test pipe. Looks like Intense Power?

Yeah man the hatch bug bit me. Your buddy Dale might end up with the coupe who knows. It may live on in good hands. Oh yeah, if you're interested in the wheels, here's my F/S thread:zerothread?id=454433

question with those spacers you have extended studs? Or they came with studs on them... and how much did you pay?

The spacers have their own studs pressed into them. You bolt them to your stock hub and bolt the wheels onto the spacers themselves.

Wheels on JookyBanana's car are 18x9.5 +15 Work Emotion XT7's.

With this 350 swap planned im gonna need brakes but im 200 percent positive z brakes or q45 or anything i put there will clear that so i might need some spacers.

Hmmm I'm selling the strut bars definitely and MAYBE my front coils. I want some STANCE or PBM fronts. Exhaust too. Me gusta FENCE PIPES.
