I always said it would take a major crash for me to let go of my Z32, and well, tonight was that night. Stopped in traffic. Slammed from behind by an Eclipse. Pushed into the car stopped in front of me. Needless to say, there's no saving the car. Thought I'd share the pics of the carnage.

The hatch is actually closed here, to give you an idea of how far down the bumper was pushed. The exhaust is literally on the ground.

And the front end damage.

Time to build a better Z.

Fuuuuuuck....That's so sad man. I totally know what you're going through, it sucks worse than anything. :frown: That guy must have been cooking when he hit you from the looks of it...I know that you'll only come back with a better Z though. Best of luck dealing with everything and your search for the new Z. I've said it once before and i'll say it again F**K BAD DRIVERS!! and most of all glad you're okay man, cars are replaceable people aren't.

Edgar you have got to be kidding me! Your Z has been my inspiration for years, if that had been my car I would have ended up going to jail that night for murder. I love my Z that much and all it takes is one moron taking my pride and joy away from me like that, I wouldnt have been able to help myself. I feel for you man, but I know you will come back with something just as good and most definitely better! Save everything you can if you have the ability.

So sorry to see that man. Just know that car wasn't only gorgeous, but it was inspiration for a huge percent of the Z community. Good luck with your hunt for another one, and good luck with the upcoming insurance battle.

No, You got to be s*** me, why your Z? :"( this is really depressing,
your one of the z drivers i look up to, and i look at your car and inspires me
to one day have mine just as sexy as yours is! :( Damn dude, well insurance is paying
you tho, just for the hell of it, i just saw a clean Z today, but a 2 seater, idk if your interested, really clean immaculate condition, clean paint, and interior, only 40,000
original miles, ill PM you the number just incase your interested, the dude wanted
4k, from what it looked man, it was a good buy, this really killed my day tho,
i feel for you Edgar, Good luck with everything, hope all your parts made it through
tho...

Is the cars crash integrity compromised? I dont see why you couldnt put a wide body kit on the rear.
Hope your next Z is as great.

The floor pan is distorted. I wouldn't trust this car at all. I widebody kit won't fix it. It'll only hide the damage. The door jams are pinched as well.

Damn, Edgar......... So sorry to see this bro. Your car has always been my very favorite Z32. At least none of your visual mods that are swappable are damaged. Did the diff sustain any damage? Any other mods you did other than the obvious exhaust damage?

I know whatever Z you get will be made better than this one. Be sure to keep us updated man.....

How much is insurance paying? My 2+2 is still for sale, just for the record..... :couch:

What was the eclipse doing that would cause it to hit you?

Shame to see it go.

Awww man... I know it's just a car and all... but man... This is a painful loss. Glad you seem alright, Edgar. Any injuries?

Rape the insurance company over, man. They better give you top dollar for that car.

I am convinced these cars are cursed. Last year mine was broken into once and backed into twice.

Damn dude! That was painful to hear and see! So sorry man. Never take the insurance company's first offer... make them give you most of your premiums back lol. You have sooo much proof of how amazing your car was... I'm sure they will make a decent payout. Good luck man!

I'm currently grabbing all my receipts of parts and labor on the car to show to the insurance company all that the car is actually worth. Here's hoping I don't get lowballed.
