You’re all right!! There are many option to what we offer and you can get most of the part at the local parts store. That is the IDEA to make replacement parts easy to get and priced good. Try getting parts for big brake kits at your local store..at a good price. That larger rotor adds leverage the caliper and increases braking. We are testing the kits at several SOCAL tracks with Driving instructors and PRO drivers to get there feed back on the performance of the kits as compared to the stock brakes on the 240sx and 300sx. As soon as the testing is done . we have complied the data, we will make it available...

We have had tons of emails from customers who have already done the 300ZX Conversion, but would like to upgrade to our kit.

So, we are doing the Slotted/Drilled 93-97 Supra TT rotors, 240SX to 300ZX Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines, and Conversion Brackets, all necessary hardware for $499.99.

We are going to redrill the rotors for all you 4-lug guys for NO extra cost! It's on us!

Let us know what you think!

The kits are now on our website and have "Buy It Now" buttons where you can pay through Paypal.

anyone look into the 3000gt's calipers for the 240? I know they're bigger than the 300zx calipers and if you guys are gonna run such huge rotors why not run bigger calipers?

We are pricing them at $300/pair!

if somebody already has the 300zx brake swap and just wanted to upgrade the rotors to supra, why would they need your break lines? they would only need the rotors and caliper brackets. thats about $100 saved right there.

You can get the entire brake upgrade at any parts store for half that amount. For the price that your offering you could do all for axles. I just don't understand why your wanting to charge so much for what you can get at half the price and still maintain the same performance. Keep in mind that I don't mean any disrespect or saying that you don't manufacture a good product. I'm just trying to see things from everyones point of view.

The kit is packaged with the brake lines, because there are many people who have already bought the calipers, but haven't yet ordered the brake lines. We are trying to keep this as simple as possible, so we are not going to part out the kit.

You do have two options however on the kits: we have a upgrade package for the already 300ZX brake guys and a full package for those of you who need everything. In terms of pricing, it doesn't matter what we put out, someone is always going to complain. I've seen people complain about the price of Tenzo-R seats, lol!

We are charging for R&D, it took us over 6 months to have this kit produced for the mass market. We also had to have our parts certified for street use, all of these things add to the price.

If you feel you can replicate our kit for so cheaply, then feel free to offer it. I'm sure the NICO guys would love that....

Take care!

ChrisUnderground-Motorsports.com

P.S.- If it maintained the same performance, I would NOT have made it! I should have data test results soon.

I don't know how to take that. I am somewhat offended by that comment. I hope you understand that I'm not trying to replicate or knock on your product. If anything I am giving you an excuse to further explain the benefits of your kit versus going to a parts store and just buying everything. All I wanted to know was the differences between the kits. I.E. WHY is it better than other ones. WHAT kind of material is used in making them. HOW did you get it certified.

Thanks for your time and please don't think I'm trying to be a smart @$$ or anything like that because I'm not.

No one else offers this kit!! This kit has larger rotors and the CNC'd brackets to space out the calibers to allow the use the larger rotors and 8.8 attaching hardware. We had not though of not including the lines as alot of the line out there are NOT "DOT" approved for the street and have libility problems. WE thank you for your comments. Our kit is about the same price as most other kit that DO have all stock componets, and we feel that they are a good value for what your getting.. Mack @ McKinnney Motorsports..

lemme get this straight

for the whole kit its almost 1000.00

for the kit without the 300 calipers its almost 500.00

and for the alum calipers that you now sell cost 300.00

why not just get the kit without the calipers for 500. then buy the calipers for 300?

thats only 800.00 and its just like the complete kit but for 200 bucks less.

am i correct on this?

I do not know where you get your calibpers, but calipers with the core charge is not $300 for rebuilt loaded calipers....plus we have to make something that is why we are in business. If you want just buy the basic kit and add the calipers you self as you feel you can do better, or just get a kit some where else, it your choice that why we have freedom of choice here in the USA...We make choices based on what best for us as individuals. Keep in mind, the $300 is just for the calipers. This does not include the excess hardware and racing brake pads, etc that you will need.

maybe you should get all your stuff straight/together/regrouped, what ever, and repost this. have a moderator delete this one.

i think a lot of people are getting confused cause there are too many questions at once, and the two of you answering is kinda complicating it also.

for those of us "who have already done the 300zx brakes", why don't you offer a setup with just brackets and rotors? i already have stainless conversion lines, as i've already DONE the brake swap, not just have calipers sitting on the floor of my home collecting dust. i would buy this setup but i can't justify paying for another set of conversion lines i don't need;)

Enough !! of this if you like them fine, if not that OK too.. Its alot easier to do thing in your garage than to sell the with today libility problems. Sorry you think it a bad deal, but that your right......Mack

Note: I will make the kit available with out the lines

Guys,

The reason why we are packaging the DOT approved Brake lines is for liability reasons. Many of the brake lines you guys are buying are not DOT approved, and we don't want to be held liable if your brake lines go bad and you get hurt or injured...

In addition, if you DO NOT have a DOT approved brake line and you get in a wreck, the insurance companies do NOT have to pay you any money....

This is the reason....

Alright.. I'm going to try to ask a very simple question!!! :D

This is just to clarify the pricing if anyone wants to know it... I read a lot of stuff on here and I honestly because of all kinds of people posting the amounts of different things an very confused..

I have a 95 base (4 lug) 240

I want to do the upgrade... I have nothing of my own! what do I need to convert just the fronts to the Supra TT brakes and How much will this cost me!?!?! ~ ooh and I want to keep my 4 lug!!!! so no convert for me... see... from here people will be able to figure out the cost of the different package...

and BTW.. this is an awesome kit!!! If I can sroung up the money... I will def. get one!

For the calipers, will the calipers that you offer clear the stock wheels? Also what measures did you take to get the brake lines DOT approved?

underground wrote:Hey NICO,

We are really excited to announce our newest product release for 2004, our Supra TT / 300ZX Big Brake Upgrade!

For all of you guys with high speed SR and KA-T 240's, and of course the RB guys, this is something you should most definately consider.

The Underground Motorsports/McKinney Motorsports Kit consists of everything you need to get the Brake kit on the car:

Supra TT Rotors (cross drilled/slotted are optional)300ZX Aluminum Calipers240SX to 300ZX Brake LinesHigh Performance Brake PadsCustom Conversion BracketAll Hardware and necessary installation parts

We offer the redrilled 4-lug rotors and no extra cost!

Why upgrade?

The 300ZX Calipers are 280mm, not bad, but not great either. The Supra TT rotors are 324mm, nearly a 20% increase in surface area. We created this kit for for those that are serious about their cars performance. For those that are for show, you will love this kit as well.

17" wheels are required as you can barely get two fingers in between the rotors and wheel. You will also need 5 lug hubs, we are working on possibly releasing a 4 lug version. (Higher Prices will apply.)

The editor at HCI Magazine (SR 240SX owner) loved the kit so much, he is devoting an entire article in the May issue. Look for this at bookstores in late March!

Retail prices are going to be $975 for the complete kit, and we should have them in stock starting next week.

For those who have already done the 300ZX Conversion, we are offering the Supra TT slotted/drilled rotors, 240SX to 300ZX Brake Lines, and Conversion brackets, plus all needed hardware for $499.99.

I have attached some photos for you to check out, the kit is shown on a 18" wheel. You can imagine how it would fill a 17".

You can email me at [email protected] with your questions!

Hey Nico,

To get some spark in these kits, we are going to throw in a free 300ZX Master Cylinder for the first three kits we sell to NICO members this week.

You must call and tell us that you are a NICO member, or the free master cyclinder doesn't apply.

Take care!

Our Big Brake Kit install guide comes out in the May issue of HCI Magazine. Look for this issue in about 2 weeks at your local book stores. It will walk you through the entire process for those of you who are wondering whats involved.

Take care!
