I actually plan to talk to him about it this fall. Apparantly the coating is meant to be re-applied ever few years. There is a place in MN that does it, I just need to figure out where, so I can have the Maxima sprayed.

Heated or not, I doubt axle grease would ever have the penetrating power that ATF will. Yes, this is just speculation on my part, but I work with both on a regular basis, and I just dont see it happening.
