Street racing on Discovery channel

They are doing a street racing thing on the discovery channel next monday. It also had alot of track stuff it seems, the only reason im mentioning it is because I saw quite a few 240's in the commercial. Im curious if they are going to make it cheasy or a real docu sort of like orange county choppers.

The MTV special from a while ago wasnt that bad, i just hope to god they dont do anything with audio and being flashy. I was pleased to see some really clean looking cars at a actual dragstrip in the commercial.

I didnt really care for the MTV on. It was alot more realistic than I thought an showed the very very serious part of racing but it was more of the west coast scene. East coast is alot different.

yea ive got it on tape also. it was a pretty interesting show. those people on there seemed like their lives completly revolved around street racing. seemed like they didnt care for other forms of racing

Its going to be on next monday at 9:00pm. J-Spec, what part of the comercial has 240s? All I saw was an NSX, what was either a Skyline or a car with "skyline" tails, and a lot of 1G DSMs and a few hondas.

I saw a long commercial of taht program, and from what i could tell by lookin at the commercial it looks like its going to be a good show. The show is about two cars that are going to built and raced against each other. It looks like a car version of Motorcycle Mania. Of and i most agree that the true life street racing was a pretty good doc. but there comin out with another one on the east coast. My cousin told me about, when he applied for an casting call.

I think both cars blow, BUT the talon will win because its not a honda...

I dunno, in a way its kind of cool they are using attainable cars.

haha! my friend just told me about this show... and i just happen to see a thread on it.... speak of the devil.

1/8 mile tracks suck though... it's hard for me to predict their times..

there's lots of bs and over-emphasizing though. I guess they do that to make it more.. "suspenseful"

I don't hate hondas or the ricers. I hate the fact that alot of honda owners where I am feel that they don't have to do anything to their car to beat anyone.They just don't put the work in around here. I know there are lots of respectable hondas just not where I live.
