who hasnt seen a billion turbo b16's and turbo DSM's?!?!?

240sxAE86510would have been better choices. Would have been nice to see some real 'enthusiasts' as the participants too not some *****es who got all their work done for them.

It would be cool if they gave each contestant $5k and said, build a car. There would be some rules and a time limit. that'd be neat!

in other words a monster garage with the same objective every show? id like that. i also agree that they should have gon into greater details as to what they were upgrading. before i knew it it would say they have 4 hours left when i thought they were still in the planning stage. and maybe also some more challenges at the end. like a drag and autocross combination. of course the DSM would had dominated both.

thats a really good idea

my friend told me about the show a week or so ago, went like this:

Hey, Anthony, on discovery channel they are having a show where they build up 2 imports and race eachother, kinda like horse power TV but with imports, i know you'll like it

as always when this friend of mine says something about me and imports, i thought, um, ok, when have i said i dont like domestic/muscle cars, i really like horsepower tv

so i said, i dont think i will like its, its gonna be the same honda b series crap like everywhere else.

so what happened? a civic ex, with a b16 swap, bolt on turbo kit, and nitrous.

i didnt really like the show, seamed scripted. and i knew that the dsm was going to win.

and did they have to have the nitrous setup with a button that the driver had to push?

come one, a WOT sensor would have worked out a lot better.

and i think that my 105hp celica with $2500 in mods was faster than that civic.

i did not realize that she even had MT's on the car

I dont like The way DSM crew the way the played the entire thing.

Also an 1/8 mile track? Are you kidding.Thats handicapping the FWD so much its not even a real race that Civic could ahve had 800hp it wouldnt have matterd, with a FWD car vs an AWD in an eight mile track.

Fred...:rolleyes

1/8 of a track ....that sucks first of all. Second they should have let them run their cars a few times before they went at it. and the Nos, crapppp-o-laaa.....just go w/ turbo...they should have let the two racers go at it one on one, that ugly chic wouldve beat that f*** ***...hondas and dsms...blahhhh

They just want results.I am soooooo sick of people I know asking me "when you gonna get NAWS for that b!+ch?" "uhhhh probably never"
I can put on an intake header and exhaust in the time it would take most to intstall a good n2o system. Is that cheating because I can do it quickly w/o much wrench time. I'm not picking on you just using your example. When done properly nitrous can be very effective and reliable. Its not something you just slap on, or hook up a dry shot. Thats for the kids that wanna break stuff.

I read some where that they used the 1/8 mile track because the other 1/4 tracks wanted to much money to film there or something. I read that on a honda forum where that chick actually post at.

I understand the benefits of N20 done correctly, and yes it is a very effective tool. I'm just sick of stupid kids only getting Altezza tails, a fart can muffler and "NAWS!" and thinking there mom's old civic is the fastest ride in town. Nitrous is great, it just shouldn't be where you start mods... more towards the end. Just my $.02.

they didn't hook up the intercooler or she took it off after the filming? The in actuallity they were just blocking her radiator from getting more air? No way they could have missed that, or maybe they did....
