Wow, saying the American public is unsuspecting is true...but overly trusting? Are you on crack? How long have you been in the US...maybe its just the Tri-State area, but no one is trusting...maybe in Canada and the Midwest you guys are just a bunch of saps...but not everywhere.
And the reason that Americans are unsuspecting is because we are uninformed and misinformed by our gov't. Who's fault is that? Definitly not the public.
It really doesn't matter WHY we are going to go to war...the fact is WE ARE, that's it, bottom line. The fact that we will be eliminating a dictator, setting up a real democracy and spurring on a country that will be extremely successful and influencial in the Middle East...that is enough reason to go to war.

*dragging out soapbox*Vimy can defend himself just fine, he doesn't need moderator protection. When one chooses to say something that is an OPINION, then state it is based on fact, then dismiss another's OPINION by stating they are misinformed, misled, and ignorant, THEN hide behind the skirts of Lady Liberty and childishly "moon" those who question your credibility, you had better be prepared to truck out the protective gear. Take a few minutes and go back and read the whole thread again, and you'll see - our resident genius isn't the "victim" he feigns to be of late.
But, sadly, that's what this great country has become - Protective of those with no shame or pride who choose to wear the shoes of the oppressed; and blinded to the contributions of those who would go without shoes to defend it.
p.s. I suppose Mike's gonna consider Fred the "tyrannical despot" (his words not mine) now for closing the thread, and that's unfortunate. Because that's far from the truth.
