I'll buy em off of you at the Oxnard meet if you haven't gotten rid of them. It totally passed my mind to ask you about them.

I just don't know anymore..... I didn't realize how weird it looks with everything showing through. If I was planning on a nice big intercooler I'd say, sweet but I plan on keeping my car around for many years to come and a turbo would probably have a huge impact on long term reliability.

I'm still waiting to see if someone powder coats one of those billet grilles black off of stillen's site (ex. T-Rex no emblem), combined with a lip. The bumper is still cleaner than most kits out for any car and in my opinion compliments the car better than the stock fascia. Stillen is just a little off on what I think is perfection. Although, I'd have to agree mesh isn't the way to go. Painting might be my vote for the best look (Stillen Bumper that is...)

What kind of paint would be best for a radiator? Worried about effecting the cooling efficiency

Another question.... the foam piece is completely discarded than? I realize the odds of getting into a crash are unlikely but that little piece could do a lot in a light fender bender.

Hey guys,

I'm glad it turned out well for you Blake. Looks great, excellent job on the installation.

Our car was rushed as we had a deadline to meet with the photography. The car is actually heading back to the paintshop this week to repaint some of the blue areas that we ended up photoshopping black.

On our car we simply painted the radiator and adjacent silver tubes black. It won't make any difference in their efficiency/performance as long as you don't use a thick paint. Krylon black paint will work just fine.

We are working with Street Scene equipment on some different grill options. I should have some samples shortly.

It's always nice to have options. Comments of mesh have been posted and I don't think it would kill the look or even look bad, it's just a look that you see everywhere. Not to mention mesh can look pretty cheap if it's not a thick gage piece of stainless (no chicken fence). All in all, it's an innovative look. Thanks for taking the time to check back with us little guys.

Thanks Kyle. Maybe you could add those steps to your official guide if they come out. Maybe not to discard the foam as i did but to cut it extensively.

Rob,

The foam piece does help in situations like fender benders. But with polyurethane it will only bend and wont break. So the risk destroying the fascia in a fender bender is very slim to none. The most you would do is chip the paint, and that could even be avoided if painted right with a "flex agent" in the paint.

I completely agree about the comments regarding the mesh inserts. They either look really good or really bad. Personally on this car I would like to see the inserts in black. I think it would look really aggressive and clean up the front opening.

Blake-

I have already sent the extra steps to my R&D division. Unfortunately we designed the car on a pre-production vehicle and our car didn't have those little plastics air scoops so they didn't know about them. In regards to the bumper foam, you can trim it or simply remove it. Like Blake said urethane is incredibly strong and very durable. It will be able to take the brunt of a low speed blow however that's not to say that the paint will. It allllll comes down to prep and prime. If the instructions are followed, and like Blake pointed out the painter uses the right flex agent you'll be fine.

I think the "insert" should have a place to mount the factory foglights...That is the main reason I wouldn't go with the design as it is..

Very good point.... Kyle, Stillen will definitely have my order once I see where this whole thing goes.

Still any thoughts on a clean set of side skirts???? Makes me wonder when/if Nismo will ever put any body mods out.

I second that, I like the design, but want my fog lights to be able to be used.

Retaining fog lights was not part of the initial design consideration. Unfortunately the factory fog lights are mounted to the factory front bumper. If you are interested in the fog lights I would suggest taking the vehicle to a fabricator in your area and have them fab up some brackets. It won't be difficult and will probably be pretty cheap. You could have them mounted either behind the scoops or in the center opening.

Something that I have done before is mount the lights behind the grill inserts. This keeps a very clean look but allows for all the light I need. If you want to actually see the lights then this wouldn't be the best way for you but if you just want the additional light source then this works very well and it is very easy to fab something up. Plus with this setup you have complete control of which lights you want to use, you aren't locked into a specific light that we choose.

Definitely. Send me some high res. pictures on either a CD or through email and I will have my web development guys put them up.

Thanks again Kyle.... Really interested in an insert before mounting and painting anything. Was the original design intended to leave the lower portion of the grille empty? I can't see this stopping me from ordering the bumper but it does make me think twice about it.

Usually when we build a front fascia we offer a matching grill insert. We always try to have something that will match up. We will have something very soon.

Geez Kyle your on here late.

The fascia is only like .5 inch lower than the stock bumper so your ok. As for the springs i would really go with sportlines over prokit. you are gonna be too close to the ground for everyday driving with prokit.

Actually, Sportline goes lower than the Pro-Kit. The S/L is usually a 1.8"-2" while Pro-Kit's usually dial in at 1" for most applications.

I had Sportlines on my S13 and Pro-Kit on my B13 SE-R. I'd personally go with Pro-Kit because in my opinion, it rides much better.
