The numbers are completely unreliable because the power transfer from the cvt to the ground is constantly variable. Therefore, the hp/tq will read different with every dyno run. So far apart actually that they can't even be averaged

I hear mainly positive feedback! I hope this is enough for the turbo to be released. No discussion on pricing yet?

And not to jack the thread but any advancements on a sedan fascia?

I would rather start with headers, larger intake manifold, and pulleys. (whenever they come out) Although I know it's no where near the h/p you would get from a turbo system I would rather upgrade those three before moving on to turbo. I hope someone is going to get this turbo system though, it looks sweet.

Got word today that the sedan fascia is on its last leg and should be available in a few weeks Was told, it looks very good with enough changes to keep it looking like the coupe fascia, but with its own unique qualities

so since the cvt isnt "dyno-able" does that mean we are going to see "+400hp" ads now? lol...

So basically....we can never have accurate torque and WHP numbers for our cars?

From a manual dyno, - the 5% more loss from the CVT, and you will have a close to accurate hp readout. Speed Force Racing got 420hp outta there last Altima kit

Not from the CVT to a dyno.

The CVT still overrides and compensates itself to flucuate with pedal poition, crankshaft speed, etc...

You can still throw the CVT on a dyno for ****s and giggles right? Or will the reading be so off that it'll be a waste of time and not count for anything?

Oh sure you can. The numbers I heard from Kyle, after the turbo was installed on their 4cyl CVT, were almost 40hp differences, over a series of runs, with no changes.

not true mcheddadi.. we're definitely here.

I think honestly the poll results speak for themselves. The cost of R&D, the cost of the kit, and the demand have not really been something that we currently can devote the R&D time compared to some of the other projects we have on hand.

I wouldn't say this project is dead, but we can't ignore other projects that have a much higher demand. Please continue to show interest, we're very much willing to produce the parts that people want.

Lol, if you guys were closer i would donate to the project, I would love to have 3.5 power with 2.5 gas mileage :P. As far as paying about 5K for a turbo.. probably not. If I had that money to spare I would without a doubt, but most people that opted for the 2.5 dont *shrug*. As a factory package option I think it would be awesome though Altima 2.5SR would be sweet

I'm sorry if it seems like we haven't been on the boards much lately. We have been BURIED with work lately. Josh and I are working on some really cool new things and we've been struggling to find time to get on the boards.

Also, Some weirdo was talking about glow in the dark paint and I had to go away and cry in the corner for a little while...really??? Glow in the dark paint???

hahaha, just messing with you bud!

Would that be some really cool new things for us A/C's and A/S's or just some cool things in general?

Hahah lol. Hey don't forget the "wet" looking interior thread with the bar in a car.

Anyways, in the near future due to financial changes (for the better) I might consider putting out 5-6 grand for this project. It's finally time to really get my car going and being in az here, Im not all that far from long beach. Kyle and josh, I may get in touch with you guys within a couple months to see about it, but right now if I put out say, $5000 would the project be ressurected in a few months time? I cant put that down now, but im thinkin it's gonna happen soon.

Also, I was thinking since the turbo would most likely make the car non street legal, whats the possibility of a supercharger?

Eh, not so much. Superchargers are usually reserved for 6cyl and above, due to the leeching effect on the engine. I mean, don't get me wrong, Its been on production cars (Mini Cooper S, Merc 230 Kompressor), but they didn't have impressive numbers. Both under 190hp. Just saying, as far as forced induction goes, 4cyl are far more efficient with a turbo vs a supercharger.
