Greg, I am so sorry for your loss. I regret I never had the opportunity to meet Stacey. As everyone else has said, know that we are here for you. If you need anything do not hesitate to ask.

We lost my aunt to cancer nearly 7 years ago. She was 38 at the time. My 3 cousins and my uncle pulled through it. I trust you will be able to as well. Stay strong.

- Matthew

I'm so sorry. Whenever you start to miss her just look at your kids and remember that a part of her is in each of them, and then think back to your favorite memory of her and just smile.

Theres not too much I can add to this thread, its all been said.

But, it must be comforting to know that youve got thousands and thousands of members who are thinking and praying for you and your family. At this point I would like to extend my condolences to your children especially, I couldnt imagine losing my mother at such a young age.

Hang in there, its not going to be easy. Just remember every waking moment that she is looking over you and your children.

Oh my god Greg, I am so sorry! I just got on right now and saw people's sigs and was dismayed. She really hung in there for a while and I thought she was in the clear for the time being. Please accept my condolences, today was my b-day and this really really comes as heartbreaking news. Ryan and I wish you and the kids the best and I know you'll have the courage and resolve to keep going. Keep a positive outlook on life... (i know that you will)NICO is behind you Greg!

I'm sorry to hear that Greg. I've only known you as AZhitman until tonight. Shes definitely got to be proud of you for putting together such a beautiful website for us fellow Nico members to visit. It's sad when people get cancer this early probably because of our increasingly polluted environment. But I digress, sorry.

Like I said I don't know you nor have I met you but I feel for you. I can't imagine losing my mom at that age. It looks like you two had an extremely wonderful relationship and I can only hope that I can attain one as fulfilling as it someday. Stacey will be missed.

I thank you both for the time you've devoted to making the internet more useful for Nissan lovers!

Sorry to read this. I am a new member of the forums and never had the pleasure of knowing her. Hang in there. I lost my mother to cancer when she was 42 (I was 18), and know how hard it is to lose someone that close to you.

Give your children a hug and kiss for me...you will find strength in each other.

I see you spent time cleaning footprints off your dash too. Christine is horrible at putting her feet on the dash and even the glass in order to stretch out.

There are no words for this. There is no amount of mental preparation to ready a family for this. The universe has lost one of it's most precious souls. I wish you and your family the strength and courage you will need. If you have half as much as she did, you will make through this and be with her again on the other side.

Greg,

I feel your pain. its hard losing someone that you've loved and cheerished for so long. I've recently lost my mother through a hard battle with schleroderma ( she was 53). It was so hard seeing her slowly deteriorating in front of me and nothing that I could do. I felt resentment for God taking her, but also in the end, I know i didn't want her to suffer anymore. My mother weighed 92lbs when she passed away. This was a very healthy and energetic woman who once weighed 152lbs. I know in the end she was surrounded by love, as your wife. Believe me when I say this, she's in a better place. She doesn't have to go through the pain and humiliation of getting poked and prodded like some lab animal. I know what your pain feels like, and i know how heavy your heart is. Stay strong, ur the supporting arms the kids are going to need. I know its hard. believe me, people says with time it gets better. Well, in all honesty it doesn't get better. I'm making a tribute car for my mother, and plan on taking it to a few shows. May your troubled heart ease in time. I pray for your family. God Bless you and your family Greg.

Sincerly,

Driftfan420

I just wanted to thank all of the Nico family members out there for reaching out to my family in their time of need.

I am Staceys brother and for the last few nights I have been reading all of your posts and I have to say that I am so gratefull that Greg and the kids are held so close to your hearts.

Stacey and Greg have worked so hard to make this website a family thing and I know they loved going to all the car shows, having you over to the house, cooking, and meeting all of you.

I am very proud to call Greg my brother and I hope that he gets to meet every one of you at the car shows. You people are amazing! Thank you.Jim

...a few more of my favorites:

These were taken about halfway through her battle... you can see the small port the doctor implanted in her chest, where she received her chemotherapy.

Some more recent pics, after the cancer returned and she was fighting for her life...

Thanks to all of you for digging up some fantastic pictures... Though I sit here in pain, my heart is warmed by seeing some pics I never knew existed.

Thank you all so much.
