Diamond Star Motors, Eclipses, Talons, and Plymouth Lasers are collectively refered to as DSMs as their original motor design was performed by that company and then released under different names.

Thank you.

A lot of these DSM came turbo charged, but are still to slow for the sr's.

the Majority of DSM's arent turbo....GSX, GS-T, Talon TSI's, and some lazers, as well as the Galant VR4's (limited production), 3000gtvr4's, evo's, etc might be, but the MAJORITY are not turbo : )

My fiend has a laser... let the car sit in his garage for a week... occasionally taking it out to rev the crap outta it for no reason... then the day he finally took it out... he got it up to 200 km came back a smiling and such bragging to his friends with the car running.... i noticed something funny and proceeded to walk over " Dude," i said, "your car doesn't sound right.." He says "What are you talkjing about, it sounds fine" I said " That knocking noise and excessive vibration and rich exhaust, means it's not running right" So he takes it in... the tech said that the first cylinder had no compression due to a piece of metal lodged in the cylinder, (possibly causing a puncture), and it looks like it's from the turbo which blew up on the 200km run... now the idiot cant drive it , because he has no money and no intelligence...

I feel sorry for that Lazer:(

the differences have been stated .. but i had to comment on the ignorance of people puttin sr's in hondas what is the world coming to ... i hated to s14 front end conversions but i could overlook it .. but the motors .. i just cant take it anymore... get a sohc motor and fits anything intake w/a tip welded on stock exhaust w/ the windshield washers GO APC .and .. GO HONDA. they go hand in hand. lol
