Exhaust fabrication stuff from Vibrant came in this week.

Turbine outlet is 3", but we'll be use a 4"-3" reducer to expand it to 3.5" right off the turbo. Then fab up the downpipe, midpipe, and full exhaust. It's going to be 3.5" all the way back to the titanium Apexi muffler.

Also going to wire in the Tanabe TEAS active suspension control unit, to use with my SUSTEC Pro coilovers. Similar to the Tein, Cusco, or Greddy dampening control units, but the Tanabe setup connects up to the factory speed sensor, and can adjust settings on the fly, via how fast you're going. Should be pretty nifty!

I can't remember the exact cost, but it was less than $100 for the manifold. No, I'm lucky enough to have a shop that specializes in powdercoating and high temperature ceramic coating less than 10 minutes from my house.

It's a small shop, but they do have a website.

I bought a 45 degree 4" aluminum pipe from Vibrant. I could have gotten away without the 45 degree bend, but I wanted the filter pointing towards the corner, behind the headlight.

And I'm using a 4" AEM Dry-Flo filter. Which I have to admit, I only bought because of this ad with Jessica Burciaga.

Hey look it's me!

Can't wait to see your car put back together. It's been a long two months.

You're going to love the TEAS. I literally use it every time I drive. I've yet to actually configure the automatic function though. ONE OF THESE DAYS.

I'm just hoping I will be able to walk to the shop one day this week and my downpipe and exhaust will all be magically welded together.

Haha, no not yet. Still trying to build the downpipe and collect fittings and lines for the crankcase ventilation setup.

Yup, picked up a 3.5 bar map sensor and AIT sensor from SpanishRicer for a good price.

Waaaaaitaminute here...

I welded my bung on the cold pipe, about 6 inches from the throttle body.

I haven't mounted my map sensor yet, but I will probably mount it behind the intake manifold, on the firewall.

i will do both sensors in the intake manifold. so how long tell you guys get your tunes done. will you be doing them your self? wit hthe built in wideband setting A/F Rs should be pretty easy except under full throttle. that should be some were around 11.8 i am thinking.

Finally im pretty much just down to plumbing this beast, but since this is my first SR i may need some help, u wouldn't be able to tell me where your bov vaccum will be going?? Im thinkin to the intake manifold but need to be sure, also are u running an electronic boost controller?? I no this may be a retarded questions but from the boost controller selinod i need to run a line and T into both wastegate lines then the other side of the selinoid will go to a port in the hotpipe??

If you're running an electronic boost controller, you can either tap the intake manifold, or the compressor housing. Then run it to the EBC solenoid, and use a t-fitting to split it to the top of each wastegate.

Ok, so I'm thinking about swapping out my RC Engineering 1200cc injectors for the following:

- Injector Dynamics Bosch 1000cc saturated injectors

- Bosch 1600cc peak and hold injectors

I already have an AEM injector driver, so the 1600cc injectors wouldn't be a problem, and I'm kinda leaning that way. But the ID 1000cc injectors are new and exciting. I kinda want to try them out. But then, I'm limited by their size to how much power my car will be able to produce.

Thoughts?

What kinda power are u shooting for killer??? No just messin i was also thinkin about going bosch i shoulda before i got the MSD 1000cc injectors!! Im pretty sure the MSD's are just like the RC's as far as shape and everything other then the injector cushion what else seals them to the intake manifold?? If u do decide to go with the Bosch let me no how they work!!
