Torry, when you guys get into Knoxville give me a call so I can head over there and meet you guys. That should put you in Knox between 9:30 and 10:30 I think. So there won't be much time to hang out Friday night so I'll try and be there when you guys pull into town and we can all chill for a bit.

*BTW ~ I ran the Dragon this weekend. Give me your opinion Torry. We can head to the meeting spot Saturday morning via the Dragon and get a warm-up run and then run one of the other roads after Blue Ridge Parkway since they were doing some taping etc or take the interstate. Only problem is that it takes a bit more time to go to Cherokee that way. Like 1.5 hours on interstate compared to 3 hours through the Dragon. Just means more time and we'd get to run one more road.*

Knoxville is about 3 hours from here. Cherokee is about 1.5 hours from Knoxville.

GR, I don't think we should run the dragon first....it means we'd have to wake up at like 5 am on Saturday morning (ick). I was thinking take US 441 to Cherokee. That way we experience some mountain roads, but it's still more direct of a route than the dragon.

If you guys are completely out, then I need a confirmation. If so, MD needs to cancel his hotel reservation because I believe we are down to 4 people now. Everyone else I know going also backed out. Heck, we might even be down to 2 or 3 people.

I would plan a tank to get up there, a tank for driving around through the mountains, and a tank to get back on.

For food, we will probably go out Friday night when we get there...or you can grab something before you leave (I take lunch at like 2, so I'll just eat dinner when we get there...but that's up to you). I plan on bringing a cooler for food to cookout on Saturday, which I'll probably pick up early Saturday morning. Then you got Saturday night on the way home for dinner.

Burnin', if you read up in the thread we are meeting at the Days Inn hotel off of Merchants Drive around 10pm. Go eat etc and have fun for a bit and then crash. We'll meet back up there (if you aren't staying there of course) at 6:30am Saturday morning. We have to leave at 7am sharp or we won't make it to Cherokee on time. We have to be in NC at 9am and the cars leave at 10:20am from there for the run.

BTW, I may not be going to the mountain part unless I can catch a ride with someone. I won't be able to drive unfortunately. I may ride with a friend from here but we'll have to see. Torry, is it possible that I can ride with you?

Ok, since nobody emailed me that they are meeting up at the Chevron, and with what car, I guess I'll just show up and hope to spot a few Nissans I'll be in a silver Spec V with a big NICO decal on my rear window (and quarter panel windows).

Because I was sick, I didn't have time to prep my car yet, so I'm going to attempt to do it after work (need to change oil, rotate tires, etc) so I might be running a little late. I'll say we roll out at 7pm unless I'm not there yet LOL...then we roll out when I get there.

Anyway, hope to see you guys there....and GR...I'll give you a call when we get to the hotel.

darn it i'm replacing my new cluth tommorow and forgot all about the 500mile break in period. i won't be able to get it broke in for sat. i would change it after sat but i'm going to mass for vacation wendsday and i woork sun-wends so i have no time to change it out later.
