Dude, that is my general rule, simply because I'm physically attracted to very skinny girls. However, I say that, then I meet some bigger girl, who is cool as hell. So I can't even rule them out. Asian girls can be cool, but a lot of them are very materialistic. My X was Chinese/Tai/lau She was cool, but bipolar so it seemed. I dated a chinese guy from HongKong for 3.5 yrs. He was a big baby, immature, temperamental, and so was the non-asian guy i dated after that. So it makes no difference.

Living in SoCal, diversity is the rule. Whether black, brown, asian or white, I have sampled all...Mainly because, I find the female form, no matter the ethnicity/race, to be very attractive. (I'm white/italian decent)

I dunno about "very" skinny girls. Last year I dated a girl who had been a friend of mine for years, very hot, models at HIN and stuff, but had a real complex about staying super-skinny, and sorta overdid it. She wasn't in like Mary Kate Olsen-ish medical danger or anything, but she definitely crossed the threshold from being super hot to just a rail.
I prefer my athletic girls. Super skinny doesn't do it for me; I likes me my T&A. Can't date someone who I can't wrap my arms around either. Same goes for guys. Can't date a fat dude. Perfect size for me is 5'9" and 160 lbs, muscular athletic build. Not too bulky though.
Anyway, I'm healthy weight for my height and I am happy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for interracial relationships - my short list of ex-gf's include a Mexican, Puerto Rican, Caucasian of French/Scandinavian descent and a Cambodian girl. But when you associate words like "mysterious" and "respect" with Asian women, I have to question the true nature of your attraction towards Asian women.
Because I'm Asian, I've had lots of non-Asian guys ask me to hook them up with Asian girls - with qualities like docile, passive, respectful, exotic, "good-in-the-sack" and "culinary prowess" cited as reasons why Asian women are ideal mates and to be quite frank, I don't like what those descriptions convey. People don't realize the nescience of such comments and the naivete of, in essence, their Asian fetish - the cosmetic objectification of Asian women.
When people rattle off the aforementioned traits, I know it's a bit extreme but automatically my mind conjures up images of geishas, the Suzie Wong images of the 1930's, Chinese females forced into prostitution during the Gold Rush, likewise infamous Bangkok and Saigon brothels ("me love you loooong time").
On the other hand, many Asian girls also perpetuate the Asian fetish symbiotic model by adamantly refusing to date Asian guys. Once met this Cambodian girl who strictly dated Caucasian males claiming that Asian guys are either "too nerdy or too thuggish, ghetto or too chauvinistic" (can't believe someone would be so ignorant as to typecast her own people into convenient stereotypes) and she'd date a White man even if he was physically unnattractive over a good-looking Asian man just because he was White and "different". When asked if she was comfortable being reduced to an object and an item of an ostensible, outward attraction and her answer was YES. The crazy part, it's a common occurence. I don't know what's more disturbing: the objectifier or the victim complicit in the objectification.
I think that forming the basis of a relationship on such shallow foundations is a strange dynamic to say the least. I'm at once proud of my Cambodian heritage but at the same time, race is something so arbitrary. I also find many of these stereotypes so baseless, for instance, the Asian male stereotype dictates that I'd have a chauvinistic streak in me which couldn't be further from the truth. I'm an egalatarian in every sense of the word, I love girls who'd stand up to me and I'm not above cooking for my woman or fetching the 'pons when the red river rages.
So yeah, I hope my post isn't miscontrued as an anti-interracial rant. The equal-opportunity lover in me is all for interracial relationships. Matter of fact, I find people engaging in racial unions otherwise frowned upon very empowering. But it's strange how people will be seduced by surface sheen when its actually personal qualities that matter most. Love is (color) blind.

What if she just liked simple midwest cowboy types? She'd almost have to go with a white guy! Well, I might be the closest thing there is to a brown white male. It doesnt go beyond my love of country music, I promise.
I've never heard the chauvinistic asian male stereotype. Thats a totally new one to me. I dont really know whats frowned upon anymore. My mother is married to an african from Congo, and my stepsiblings are half-black half-white, and my dad is half Indian and half thai and my mom and stepmom are full thai.
