Hey I'm going to get a 1989 240SX and planning on putting an swapping out the old engine for an SR20DET but I just have a few questions before I do:

Is this the best engine t put in it for drifting? Is there a way to install a front end from a later 240 to make it look more like a Silvia? What is a front clip swap compared to just an engine swap?

Congratulations, you have asked the exact same question that 95% of the kids that come in here ask.

You should probably hang out here for a while. zerothread/249603 Do some research.

When I swapped, there really wasn't info on it. The drifting craze hadn't picked up, and no one knew how to do wiring except Yuri. I had to search my but off, and figure everything out by accident.

know that i thought about it a little bit...... i really take all the available information for granted. and have a new found respect for those of you who were doing it in the first place, with little to no help from a magazine or forum, and helped make "this" something that was more or less available to all of us. even though the SR makes me pissed off most of the time... it makes me happy the rest.

You're not limited to search Nico's site alone. There's lots more info on other forums like zilvia, fresh alloy or the, 240sx forum(not nico, another kind).
