come this spring HOPEFULLY an S15 SR20 n/a (i wanna be different. build that baby up after bullet proofing it.) quick question bullet proofing your engine makes it stronger correct? this means that teh S15 SR20 would be capable of holding more than 500hp right? then why does eevryone complains about the S15 motors if the only thing you have to do is bullet proof her?

Well I wanted an RB25DET but it's probably never gonna happen with the cost requirements...

you had better have $8,000-$10,000 ready to pay for a near stock s15 swap.

Why would u want a blacktop?

Isn't the redtop better?

I heard redtop has better airflow

You lost me there buddy....you're talking about going N/A?? and then you say 500 hp? Are you planning on staying N/A? Or buying an N/A motorset and building it for turbo?

And, I've never heard anyone complain about the S15 motor, just heard rumors that the transmission is weaker, but how many people do you know with an actual S15 setup that can confirm that?

s13 redtops and s13 blacktops are basically identicle and have high port intake.

s14 notch tops are low port intake, have a bigger turbo and variable valve timing.

s15 notch tops are also low port, have a bigger ball bearing turbo, variable valve timing and 480cc injectors.

We have a 98 240SX that we are building with a RB26DETT motor. The swap will be featured in an upcoming article for HCI Magazine. We will be doing a full technical install article for the Nissan community to enjoy. We just started posting on NICO, so I hope to be able to offer some guidance on the RB swaps. As the McKinney Motorsports East Coast Distributor, we have the install kits for sell if any of you are interested.

And yes....we are keeping the twins....
