Bah, #1, Escalade got a jump on the GT-R.

#2, I love how Hennesey uses the GT-R as a benchmark to make their cars AS GOOD AS. Everything they've produced has been run against the GT-R.

#3, THE R35 GT-R IS NOT GODD*MN GODZILLA! The R32 has, and always will be, Godzilla. It was the one that coined the name, and IDGAF if the new one is faster. IT'S NOSTALGIA, PEOPLE.

That's my drunken rant of the night. Love ya, Greg!

The R35 is mechagodzilla. It's a soulless machine.

Haven't we already been here before? Everything I said there applies here. Comparing an modified car to an unmodified car is apples & oranges, fruity.

Much more campaigning for GM and we'll need to start calling you Ricky Bobby. :poke: :)

yeah, honking is the worst way to go about starting that race. After the 1/4 there should be a stop pad and see which one stops first.

You guys are lame. It's a GD ESCALADE that does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. A 6,000 lb. SUV. That's damn impressive. It doesn't matter what it's "racing" against. It's an impressive feat performed by an awesome tuning company. I repeat: You guys are lame.

were they actually racing or was that just a "sunday drive". It didn't look like the GTR had it's launch control enabled to me. I call BS. I've always thought Hennesey was a little on the shady side about some things. "nutswinger thread ring a bell?"

Jesus f*cking Christ, man. You're never going to understand anything about the value of a goddamned thing if you don't work for it yourself. My statement still stands that you need to get a Honda. With your own money. Not a cent of your parents' money. And put the gas in it yourself. And maintain it yourself. Your parents have failed you so hard it's not even funny. You would be 100% clueless on how to wipe your own a$$ if your parents disappeared tomorrow.

Why? Did you just do something stupid to your Mom's SUV like you did with the previous free car your parents gave you?

Pretty impressive how fast the 'Sclade accelerates given its mass and cinder block-like aerodynamics + but add a few turns to the contest and it would end differently.

Oh yea, that braking thing might be important once you're up to speed. Then again you are in an Escalade....

14'' rotors make a difference in braking power.

Looks to me like they did a really good escalade.

Hennessey makes some sick S. And, we werent even given the hp/tq/ or boost numbers. Hennessey saying low boost could mean 15lbs. I know it sure as S it isnt like 5lbs.

'As good as' is a good statement. I too would also rather have a GTR. I dont even like Escalades.

So that launch in the gtr maybe like a gallon of gas?

Have fun driving that escalade around but after one of those launches have fun going into sunoco with a ben franklin to fill up again

I do like what they did with it, none the less impressive, but that wasn't an accurate launch like most others have said on here.

And like someone else also said your comparing unmodified to modified car, and 2 that escalade is probably like what 60kish retail? Skyline is like 80kish?

Those mods and stuff defiantly run the total cost more than 80k, i bet with like 5k or less in mods the skyline would beat it.

They should modify the mercedes benz r93amg minivan, its already a beast and would be fun watching a soccer mom whoopin ferraris on the interstate hahah :woot:

It looked like the GT-R wasn't even trying on the launch.

Also, the end of the race was tilted at an angle in favor of the Escalade. You can't even get a good view of what the final outcome really was!

THIS.

Oh, and Hennessey still sucks. I have a long memory.

BTW, I've never met an Escalade owner who could drive worth a damn. I don't think you're gonna see a bunch of rappers hitting the dragstrip.

"Yo, dawg, we heard you like turbos, so we put a turbo next to your other turbo... AAAAND a webcam and a 22" screen so you can watch your turbos."

I remember there being a large falling out between Hennessey and the Viper, what happened there?

I don't think responding to his posts is accomplishing anything at this point. Perhaps if we were to say....not reply to his posts AT ALL... we MIGHT be spared the radiation from his ultrastupid.

But you must admit there is some entertainment value in the responses to Nala's posts.

As far as Hennessey, his problems do not seem to be with Vipers themselves, but with a group of former Viper customers that had well publicized problems with him and his work. The common factor seemed to be that they were were all out of state (non Texan) customers who shipped their cars to him.

:werd:
It's nutz. If it's impressive for an AWD supercar to do what it does, how is it not impressive for a farking TRUCK to do the same thing?
