There are certain places that dont do emissions like, here in Stanwood. I don't have to worry about it. You could just get a P.O. Box in a non-emission town and register your car there.Shaefer Thomas wrote:I have a 240 that I bought in Texas, swapped an SR into it and moved back to Michigan. Michigan has absolutely NO laws whatsoever regarding smog or anything even related to it. I want to keep the car registered in MI because I am about to go to school in Washington. Im pretty scared about all this smog BS, and I REALLY dont want to get rid of my car after all the hard work I put into it.... Anyone have any advice on Washington's smog tests? I hear you have to go to an official testing center so there is a slim chance you will find a "friendly" person there.... Just need a little insight into this.. I Know Washington has a couple 240 guys with SR swaps, cuz Ive seen them around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
where in SD do you live because i need to know where to go in SD to get an SR smogged and it will pass.CMG wrote:Cali. is the worst when it comes to smog. A good running SR with all the smog equipment removed and just a cat can pass the emissions test no problem...you just need to go to the right place to do it.
it has nothing to do with daily driving but i dont want a trailer queen. weekend driver....TURBO GEO metro wrote:hey every one i new here and i am THE SMOG GUY in CA.the bottom line is if you have a nice car and its not the average run of the mill 240, well then, put it on a flat bed and take it to the track race it all you want and then flat bed it back home or where ever you want to keep it. For the love of all things to do with fast cars dont make it an ever day driver.
