is eibach good for simple suspension tuning?? I was considering for long time,, I heard they give you better steering and better MPG,, loltakethewall wrote:for sure. dumping a car is all style. Peformance wise, there is a point where it just doesn't make sense. My car is lowered on eibach springs and thats enough for me. Plus i live in pittsburgh and the roads are awful
i think you can go a little lower...Honad wrote:Here is my definition of "slammed". This is about as low as you ever want to go before you start making the car handle like crap. It's about 1.2" lower than stock on SPL Coilovers with a 1" preload.
Better gas mileage? lol. I've seen that in the Eibach ads in magazines too. I haven't noticed?dozug wrote:

so far there's 2 of us.ArticDragon192 wrote:Definition of slammed:Super lowNo fender gapSprings and shocks need not applyCoilovers only (springs don't go low enough)
This isn't a "I'm lowered" thread. It's as the thread title states, "slammed z check in." A lot of cars don't meet the requirements here.
you totally just said what honad just said, in responseNissanFairladyZ32 wrote:Here is my definition of "slammed". This is about as low as you ever want to go before you start making the car handle like crap. It's about 1.2" lower than stock on SPL Coilovers with a 1" preload.

Ugh, another "hardcore racer." Many of us build our cars as street cars. Street cars will always come faced with compromises. You have to give up something in order to gain something else. Do I know my car doesn't handle the best at it's ride height right now? Hell yeah I do. It's not ideal, but I can give up some handling in order to look badass driving around. We all build our cars too look nice and perform well, but on a street car, you need to find a happy medium or even a way of compromising what you want.NissanFairladyZ32 wrote:Here is my definition of "slammed". man, it seems like everyone who drives z32's are all purists, why cant anyone break the mold? i mean how boring would it be if everyone drove stock looking z's. there's nothing wrong with driving a stock looking z or a slammed street z. to each their own. if you dont like slammed z's dont post, matter fact make a thread about how slammed z's are gay if you want or make a thread about race tuned z's or track z's but dont come polute this thread with neg. energy.ArticDragon192 wrote:

My car is still fun to drive. And IMO it looks awesome the way it is. It doesn't handle the best, but I'm fine with that. Like I said, it's not a race car. I'm not out to break records. If I was, I would build a race car and have no compromises.

I didn't mean to come off as saying you guys were wrong. I'd love to lower mine more (maybe not as low as some of you guys) but the roads here in Pittsburgh are pretty awful.
ArticDragon... Always loved your car. What kind of wheels are you rolling on now?
i think you should put these wheels back on. they look awesome on your car.gnozahs wrote:

I lived in Pittsburgh for almost 5 years. I'll attest to the atrocities that they try to pass off to their citizens as a public roadway system. I had a 93 DSM AWD. Not only could I not navigate the inner workings of south side or mount washington, but I scraped everywhere and that thing did not ride that low.
The only half decent road in the Pittsburgh area I can think of is Rt. 19.
