I've actually enjoyed watching the other FnF movies. I'll probably enjoy watching this one too. Obviously we can all agree that there are some lame parts in those movies, but so what. What annoys me the most are people these days who says there one set of rules to be a car enthusiast.

Yeah i enjoyed watching the movies i suppose, not because of the fact that the plot was well thought out (NEVER) or the cars looked good (extra never) and any sort of racing they did was cgi (i.e. i drift up multi-lvl parking garage's in my sleep) heh but somehow i still sit there for 2 hours when its on. They are definately humorous, i laugh at hollywoods interpretation of the tuner world, and once the movie is over every riced out civic in town was out on the roads. Heh in the first one the ten second drag races were like 5 minutes long, and they shifted like 12 times without ever shifting down haha. The only decent cars they ever put in there (i.e. skyline fromm fast and furious 2, and s15 from tokyo drift) get wrecked in like 5-10 mins to be replaced by something inferior (an evo in both movies....wonder who mitsu screwed)

Anyways im just ranting cause its ridiculous there are two posts on front page about fast and furious, which was an okay movie (from a comedy point of view), but i sure as shyt wont go waste my money seeing the fourth one in a rice-packed theatre, so i can watch vin diesel and paul walker represent the american racer. HAHA can you imagine how the japs laugh when they watch tokyo drift? Especially with that alabama-accent-having kid, that couldn't even drive, wrecked like everything in the movie. Gah. Im done./vent

*Edit- Im glad they didn't let the s15 run, they wouldv'e completely obliterated it like they do with every nissan they get theyre hands on. You know how many skylines they built/wrecked for the 15 mins of coverage in the second one? I know they were kit cars, not real gt-r's, but still. Hollywood kills cars. http://blog.cardomain.com/2009...d-bag/

I know im going to like this movie. Sure the storyline is a bit corny but atleast they pick a wider variety of cars. looking forward to seeing the f bomb and also the chevelle.

i'm going to chime in, i have watched all the previous movies on dvd and one thing is clear. its just a movie!...it has to be watched and viewed as just that, and entertaining movie.is it the live action rule of thumb as to how things really are? uhm, no! its just a fun movie.

and for the record, the main character from the third, "that alabama-accent-having kid"was probably the most legitimate and "real" character there was in the series for a variety of reasons.and i bet some japanese like it and some hate it...same as here. bottom line, the script is ridiculous, the cars for the most part are tacky, the driving sequences are unrealistic but the movies are visually exciting and its fun somtimes to see unrealistic races etc just for laughs. if people would just take it for what it is(movie entertainment) and stop dissing it just to sound like tehyre cool or some kind of car scene OG or somthing it might be viewed diff.s*** i may even go see this one at the theatre, i have the day off today lol....well, maybe not.damn that was a long post, i must be in an oppiniative mood today

the movie was ok. wasnt the greatest for obvious reasons. Best part was after the movie, anyone that saw it was in their car revving their engines. it was a great laugh... haha

dont get it twisted... Initial D started it all for a lot of people.

for F&F its the script. the dialogue would be hard to sit through. but im not knockin you, its only 8$

Hells yeah Initial D is the s*** its what got me started. I haven't seen the movie yet either but I will probably enjoy it as just that... a movie. You see the problem isn't the movie its the people who go around confusing it with real life.

I remember when the first one came out, after it was done I saw some of the worst driving I've ever seen in my life demonstrated by some of the ricer kids in my city. Actually for like the next 2-3 hours the roads surrounding the theater were absolute mayhem.

At the time I was into lux cars... forgive me and just sat in mine with some friends and watched and waited for the police who eventually quieted the streets.... ricers

Hey i didn't say anything about Initial D, heh that was a different story. It was like an underpowered car, and it was the quiet daydreaming kid that became a downhill driving legend it had a cool storyline, which is why even though it was animated people were waiting for the next stage. (still waiting on possible stage 5?)

But with FnF its like, undercover cop flips and becomes cool street racer? Neh not cool, i hate cops. Or, trouble making kid (don't get me wrong, he was better than paul walker, but the accent really keeps me from watching the movie, nothing against people in the south..) gets sent to tokyo where his dad conveniently lives (and has an old mustang?) and who of all people is there but lil Bow Wow? Ouch...And he's got to learn how to drift to win the heart of the puerto rican (or something i dont remember) girl who happens to be with yakuza's prince. That is freakin excitement at its finest, those storytellers really know theyre stuff. I might consider watching the movie if it had any reason to:1)Plot2)Action (the less wires/cgi/stunt doubles the better, i.e. The Protector.)3)Nice cars4)Humor

The only category this movie scores in at all is humor, and not the intentional kind of humor you get when you pick up liar liar, the laughing in wonder as to whether or not the producer/director were serious, and to outrageously corny lines. Haha "you can't just step in the ring with ali cause you think you can box" "He knows i can box, so check it...." lol anyone remember that one? I think i had to leave the room for a minute and come back after that one.

This must be how secret agents feel when they watch 007 If they were to make a movie the right way then they would make it an action flick, not a car movie and then put the cars in around the plot but whatever, people shouldnt be offended whenever Fast & Furious is mentioned because afterall it is just a movie...

FnF RULEZ!...

I personally don't mind the movies, and am actually planning to watch the new one thats being released. I think it'll be better than the last 2 that came out.

But the majority of you guys can't act like you didn't get excited when you heard about FnF 3: Tokyo drift.

Either way, The producer and Director doesn't have to give a rats a** about the s***ty the movie, because the name sells. We all know that atleast 3/4 of the audience is someone who is an import enthusiast and that's the targetted market, and guess what.. they're making money from us.

Most entry level tuners don't know what JDM is nor do they know how to differentiate a "JDM TyTe" Vehicle from a "Rice Mobile".. So it let's those people enjoy themselves with all the flashy paint jobs, 17 feet wing and a body kit that looks like a Gundam.

Why am I ranting? because it's raining and I have nothing better to do at work. Sorry guys

Everyone here knows the coolest car in the movie was the cosworth at the beginning and the RUF porsche.

I do want to know what the "Illegal mod" on the 240 was that they were talking about LOL

wow lotsa hate in here. well the movie wasnt to bad plot wise, and mia was smokin hot ( that was enough for me) but it was overall better then the last one, still had some yea thats not happenin moments, but a lot less then the others. and the various cars makes it worth while too. however if all the spanish/mexican (no offense to those of you who kno their s***) and black people, who dont know a lick about anything car wise didnt go to see it i would have had a better time. it was so annoying when you hear "oh my d16y7 powered rice eater will beat that chevelle" and so on and so on i had to turn around and just tell him how my 90 year old grandmother with 1 lung no toes and 1 foot could out run his lil civic so shut up. then everyone laughed and he tried to fight me in the parking lot, but hey that just shows what mind set hes got, an immature lil ricer. i tire at all the people who think their cool uz they bought all the parts on their car from pepboys and autozone ( ok im guilty of this as advance does sell k&n and good stuff plus i get a discount but i dont buy the ricer stuff). the best part of the night was watchin the 4 cars try to drag through the parking lot forgetting theres a curb at the end before the ext and all of them hit it then slammed into each other. it was great, they shoulda but that in the end of the movie sayin" dont be a douche and drive like this"

"dont be a douche and drive like this "

lol quoted.

I won't lie to you, back when FnF: Tokyo Drift first came out, me and my friend after the movie jumped in our 240's and attempted drifting everywhere.. too bad I had super hicas and kept doing circles very slowly... lol.

But you gotta learn to enjoy a little bit.

Back to the movie. How many good car-related movies come out these days anyways? We gotta cope with what we get man.. hopefully they'll release a real Initial-D movie, minus Jay Chou and the misinterpreted Chinese story-line, straight from Japan...

Last F&F was a little more authentic then the first 2. Alot of the cars in the 3rd one were actual D1 driver vehicles, (some). Although the F&F franchise is not all that great, its entertaining in many ways. Hell thats how i got started in the car scene lol, then as i grew into the scene it just made the movies that more entertaining with the political incorrectness (thats probably not a word). Believe it or not (agree to disagree) the movie kinda put the scene mainstream, help build the scene, and gave the scene more recognition. There were alot of people that were like me that didnt know a whole lot of squat about building a performance car, but would say i want my car like the movie. There were more tuner cars in movies, tv shows, and music videos. I believe need for speed underground was base off of F&F which dont know if everybody likes that game but... it focused on the tuner crowd and allowed you to customize your vechicle close to real life. (close) Hell the F***** price of the Supra and RX-7 soard after the damn movie came out and everybody was trying to get there hands on the car to make it a "10 second" car. So like the movie or not......... me personally dont think the scene would be where its at now if it wasnt for the movie giving the scene a sort of jump start. Sorry for the long post.

P.S.- Its all in marketing, and the movie did its job. More and more people are getting into the scene, even tho the movie is not that great of a reference, it still did what it was suppose to do, it gave people an idea.
