Thanks, Yeah I'd rebuild it if i owned a garage but i'm not going to pay to leave it here for the few years it would take me to save. I've actually never sold anything online though so parting it out might be annoying. I imagine shipping a cam to CA would be expensive too, but if you want to pay shipping+part i'm sure something could be arranged, my email is [email protected].DMan II-40 wrote:Pretty cool build so far. You selling or sold the KA? or parting out? I could use the exhaust cam if your parting. Oh, and props for finding a cool girl, all mine does when I work on my car is b****.
Thanks, I got a crappy CXRacing(ebay) fmic in my parts pile somewhere, it was one of the few parts that's packaged up so damn tight i was too lazy to take it out of the box until it's getting installed. I appreciate the offer though. I like your garage/suspension/build, I'm glad someone in VA hasn't molested their S13.Bumnah wrote:Good stuff.
If you need a SMIC setup. I've got one. Everything except for the hot pipe.
Hit me up.
Goodluck!
Oh that makes sense cause the rust does look like its in the shape of a fluid leak. Thanks for the advice i don't want my new paint to rust cause i didn't fix the problem just covered it up.Bumnah wrote:If it's got rust on it, it's probably got brake fluid leaking on it. May want to get that checked/fixed.

I used 3M strips i got from Napa, i haven't finished but i started off with 180 grit and then im going to do 400 that i have before i primer and paint. But i wouldn't take my word for it, i have no previous body experience whatsoever, just what i've read here on Nico heh.Ramonesfreak2010 wrote:What kind of sandpaper did you use? I'm in the process of sanding my bay but I don't know squat about body work.
The sandpaper I have says 80D on it? Someone told me to use 80 and that s*** sands it to metal. Is that bad? lol I'm so lost....!!! (was not a thread jack btw.. question to op)TroubleBound wrote:I used 3M strips i got from Napa, i haven't finished but i started off with 180 grit and then im going to do 400 that i have before i primer and paint. Yeah im dumb i went to the garage to work on the car some more and noticed the numbers on the paper. I don't know where i came up with those other numbers, but i DID star off with 80 grit as well. I did the whole bay with 80 grit and got it down to metal where i could. Then im going back over it with 180 and then washing it and tack clothing it before i hit it with the primer. Sorry about that i don't know what i was thinking. And its best to keep the floor wet and garage door closed, but keep the area ventilated with like a fan or something while painting.Ramonesfreak2010 wrote:

I kind of did a quick ghetto test fit but my bumper is all cracked up so i didn't really get a good idea of how flush it would be, but it didn't look to be too far off. I should test fit it on the new bumper i got just haven't had a chance.iheartzombies wrote:Ever test fit the ebay lip? Wondering if fitment is at least half way decent lol
I used duplicolor primer and duplicolor gloss black acrylic enamel. It was like $40 for the paint and sandpaper and tack cloths.Chris28 wrote:what did you use for paint?
I did it over the course of two days, like 4 hours each day probably. I didnt go too crazy with the sanding but it still came out pretty well.baron_harkkonen wrote:How long did it take you to sand/prep your bay?
