Yeah we're going to try it with the stock injectors. If it leans out too bad then we'll switch them up.

Here's what you have to do for the oil pan (upper oil pan as the lower one gives u no space to tap):

Not my pics:

Now depending on the fitting you may not have to tap that big. Also finding a tap in this size is difficult. My fittings i belIeve are press/push fittings so i just need to drill out the hole to the right size and pop them in/JB weld them up. Going to check that tomorrow. Car will be down putting everything on until Tuesday... Dad doesn't know he's driving me to work Friday, Saturday and Monday hahaha

Sorry for the lack of updates, more stuff had to be ordered. Needed a couple more couplers and bolts and stuff. I'll update when the stuff arrives.

Other parts (extra couplers, bolts and crap) had to be found. I have everything now...

The car goes into the garage at my buddy's place tomorrow. He has a lift. The guy there can weld the exhaust down pipe stuff. I will post pics/updates when they happen.

I hate saying dates now because I let myself down . But it's going to be done VERY soon.... lol

Once I am done I will post a detailed parts list and pics.

its all good as long as you get everything done the correct way. and yeah im hoping everything turns out great for your car. imma also put in a turbo in my sedan. so far i got the t3t4 garret turbo, greddy blow off valve, intercooler, custom intercooler piping. i wouldve had the apexi safc but my dumb friend sold it to another friend of his because he thought i didnt have the money =( . would you happen to know where to get one for a decent price?

Awesome to see someone else joining in on this as well. If you have Windows Live Messenger: [email protected] and my BlackBerry PIN is 20928FA2.

eBay is your best bet if you do not know anyone that has a used one. The SAFC II will work as well, might save you some money but it's not as pretty lol.

The SAFC II worked well on my eclipse 6 years ago. Isn't there a better piggy back computer out there?

Always is but for what we need this does the job, although a stand alone would be a lot better. I wish the AEM FIC worked without major modifications. That would have been awesome but oh well.

Starts soon!!!!

The AEM FIC does not read our Crank/Cam signals properly. It's a different algorithm / signal.

Here's pics of progress for today. Don't worry, zips ties and tears won't be holding the IC in place... lol. This is all test fitment.

More pics in better quality to come...

hey , I always wondered why people don't use only the pipes in blue stuff.? you wouldn't need to weld anything and could bend them to fit anywhere too.

Pretty cool build, very impressed. I just hope you upgrade the compressor and BOV sometime soon and mount / hide the wires for the wideband a little better.

I guess it would be fine for low low boost, like 3psi. But it's not sturdy and would move around a lot when you're driving. I mean the OBS stuff is rated for a high pressure so it would be fine.

The couplers I am using are 4 layer if anyone was wondering. Some came in the kit and others were ordered on ebay haha. And yes everything will be cleaned up.

Welding to stock exhaust system (will be replaced but for now it gets this)...

These spark plugs are out of the norm... I'll have to find spark plugs that fit, the ones I have that should have worked are completely different.

Mocking up the custom down pipe designed by Rob!

BOV Installed:

Waste Gate:

Temporary IC bracket lol:

Oil line to the turbo ran (from oil pressure sender on back of the motor). This was done instead of the sandwich adapter because we didn't have enough line AND the line gets in the way of the belt/pulleys. The line is attached with a a T fitting, snug . Oil line will be attached to the turbo later with a 90o bend fitting to move it out of the way. It's a mess I know, but once everything is working we can adjust it after.

What not to do:

I'll update more tomorrow!

Haven't been on here in a while. Build looks good though.

Why are you going with a draw through maf setup and not blow through?

What injectors/size are you going with?

1. Because we're working with what we have and don't feel like switching it right now lol and 2. I have WRX STi injectors handy, we're starting on 3psi on stock injectors. Once we max those out i'll probably pop in those injectors or get a set of 450 range injectors instead of the 565 (might be a bit overkill).

Meh, changing it to a blow through is as easy as cutting the piping by the TB for the maf. The car itself won't know the difference but it will be alot easier to keep a consistent tune with the afc and the ecu will better control timing.

Just use the sti injectors. If there's one spot you want wiggle room in, it's gonna be your fuel setup. And as addicting as boost is, you'll end up bumping the boost and needing the extra fuel. and also some 440's have been known to max out around 10 psi for the qr.

Great info thanks Do you know what flow the stock injectors are? Just curious as we haven't been able to find much info on them. I'll be looking to switch it around possibly.
