Ok now that i've actually taken a look at new Scion, they're priced so low that i could afford them and there are already tons of parts and accessories that you can pick from. Does anyone know if Nissan has something like the Scion that they plan to release? It seems like Mitsubishi, Honda and Toyota are giving the car enthusiast and ricers that cars that can easily play with. Does nissan have an answer besides the SE-R?:eek:

When I went to HIN in Chicago I saw a Scion booth and I think it was being headed up by two 60 year olds I believe they where married. But they stood there the whole night. THat sure is one way to appeal to the young crowd make them feel like they can be 60.
I kinda want to jack the scion badge though haha looks liek a nissan symbol with a Silvia S in it. Makes me happy in pants. At first I thought it was a Nissan made truvanus. (truck-van-bus)

Sorry Canada, as far as I know there's no plans to market Scions up there. I've seen 2 bB's, one on the street here in Raleigh, NC and one at a Toyota dealer in Buffalo, NY. Even though they're only officially on sale in Cali, they've been finding their way east for quite some time. I haven't seen an xA in person. Both the xA and xB ride on the Echo platform, so out of the box they're going to be anything but fast, but the xA only weighs like 2300 or 2400 lbs, so I'd bet it would still be pretty fun to drive. The tC is going to have a 2.4, so it should be a lot better in the power department, and then there's the dealer-installed supercharger that's supposed to be offered. With that extra displacement it will probably have decent torque, as opposed to the Celica which went the Honda route (no guts until you spin the tach into the stratosphere.)
xA - Toyota Echo replacement [no more echos in California!]

xA/xB should be nationwide in June/July; it started off in California.
The tC should be available nationwide in June/July; it's not out anywhere right now. The tC will have the camry four cylinder with 4 wheel disc, full glass roof and 5 speed standard. Should be around 160hp/160 torque with an optional TRD supercharger that will pump it to 200hp factory.. take it home and tweak it some more

Yes but you have to pay attention to the torque number. That's more important than HP anyway. The tC is going to be putting out about 160 ft-lbs, as opposed to about 120-130 for a Civic. Bottom line = tC blows Civic away off the line and is a lot nicer to drive around town.
Give me 2000-4000 rpm torque over 6000+ rpm HP anyday.
man that TC looks pimp as hell wow, I woulda never imagined it but I have to say Toyota has some good vehicle body developers.
I would get a tc versus a civic, but not versus a sentra im still a nissan enthusiast.

Scions are already on sale in NJ. My brother may be getting an xA by summertime. His Integra finally died a couple of months ago (210k). They are really affordable, and come with some nice options from the factory. Plus there is already a whole TRD lineup for the car. It's a pretty cool lookin car, and seems like it will do well.

these things are toyota echos, plain and simple. They are the slowest things toyota could have made, and I hate them. i work at a toyota/scion dealer in MD, so I've gotten to toy with them. They just do not have any appeal to me, I dont know why people want them so much. TOYOTA ECHOS PEOPLE!
also, the tc is not replacing the celica, i dont know why it would. why would toyota stop making one of their cars to make a new cheaper car for scion?
I asked my sales manager about the supra and he told me that toyota said they will be releasing a 2005 model.
