oh s*** thats gay. i just like 5 seconds ago bought a carbon hood from there.... hope it works out. i used paypal though and got all the guys info... i think. post that s*** back up till the mod allows it. thats bs. sorry man. i hope you guys both get your money back.

so a mod changed it to "scammer info"

then another 5 minutes go buy after a few ppl post in the thread saying stuff like that sucks man if we hear anything we will let you know.

i NEVER posted anything about a specific persons username at ALL.

5 minutes after that i'm multi quoting and replying to ppl in the thread, then it says this thread doesn't exist.. PM's me saying what i just posted above with the screen shots..

im very sorry to hear about you situation. losing any money to a scam is a terrible thing

i have been a member of nwn for a little over a year now. most of the items for sale are sold locally since every one lives within a decent amount of driving distance. ive done a couple of purchases and only one of them required shipping.

plus the itrader that was mentioned does help. its just like the reviews for ebay if you didnt know.

itrader was down for a couple of months but you should be able to check thompsons reviews or what not know if that helps

hey guys so im fairly new to nico but im always on Zilvia.net. name-rollout240
i too have been screwed by this douche.
He was selling me $600 bnib megan coilovers. said that he was from HI guessing Hawaii.
i send him the money as a "gift" at his request.
he only got back to me a couple of times after the sell.
told me he had my money and everything was cool but wouldnt be able to ship till after the weekend.
i bought them on april 3.
hasnt gotten back to me since last week.

we're all in the same boat. i really hope we all get our money back and i've been reading up on paypal fraud forums. even a lot of them do not get there money ($10-$100) and they should look into our case since it deals with a couple hundred or thousand dollars. I am pretty sure Paypal has to do is just look up the paypal accounts and track this guy's information. It shouldn't be that hard and I've told the Paypal rep that this guy has scammed multiple people online. We all want this guy tracked and want our money back. If anymore new information can be added, it would help all of us a lot.

If any mods can give us any ip address logged from his accounts on this forum would be great.

but i KNOW for a FACT that he is in Seattle Washington.
cuz when i sent my money in western union that's where it went and it got picked up.
and the name on the paper that i sent it to was DAVID THOMPSON.
so the person had to have an ID that HAD THAT EXACT NAME ON IT.
no doubt about it.

unless the dumbass working at the western union/currency exchange just handed it over without him presenting an ID.

Anyone who would stand in the way of straightening out such an issue is clearly unworthy of administrating or moderating a forum.

So, NWN members, let's hear it from you all. They can continue employing someone who assists scammers, or they can be boycotted.

I know here locally you can pull up the county accessors site and it will show you who holds the deed to the property. If he is renting i am sure his landlord would love to know he is paying his rent with your stolen money! If it is in his name I guess it would suck if he kept randomly having s*** happen to his house.

I just ran into a link to this thread from my own local forum, bc240. I usually hate to dig up old topics, but i figured i'd chime in here, and i also love hearing gaelen horror stories.

NWN/Gaelen is well known for his draconian admin policies, and ridiculous rules. I believe it stems in his own insecurity in himself that compells him to exert his online power upon members of his site (for example, gaelen has banned me AT LEAST 5 times... most of which were for "heated discussions" held either in PM or on BC240, not even relevant to NWN). NWN is basically a nazi concentration camp and a breeding ground of anti-free-speech thinking.

In fact, the administration there is so ridiculous other forums were specifically created as an alternative to NWN's rules.

It is really unfortunate that the site is so popular/iconic in the northwest as the premier site for Nissans, because as a result of the rules, sections like the classifieds section and even other sections of the site are just completely useless. (people have been banned for things like sharing opinions about the work of other shops -- especially if they happen to be site sponsors). The site practically... or wait, flat out does encourage scammers.

I really think the way of the future for forums in general is less censorship/moderation. For example, with BC240 i have a strict no moderation policy. People conduct themselves just fine in just about all topics, except those specific topics where there is severe disagreement (just about always in offtopic, which is rated NSFW). Also, as a result, people don't bother posting stupid classifieds or trying to scam people for the most part, as those who realize will immediately chime in and warn others in the thread.
