I'd think there's plenty to support a claim of wire fraud... bu we'd need to know who we're dealing with, and we'd need to know what jurisdiction to file in...

But yeah - Reporting this to your local authorities is a good first step - They can direct you from there.

Didn't read the whole thread - so maybe this has been discussed - but if the Paypal payment was made by CC, you should explore the option of a chargeback with your CC company.

It's a violation of TOS with Paypal, but it may be a worthwhile option if your card company is willing to work with you.

called various numbers and ones provided all have been disconnected... i got stuck working this week but took time off to drive to this address in washington to pay a visit and see if there is a person living there? My brother in iraq got a lawyer and signed over special power of attorney and i get to pursue this in his behalf. I have called the Washington police and have provided names phone numbers and all given information just waiting to hear back. will keep all updated....

when will scams end?? hope you guys recover the monies involved.but i will tell everyone this, anyone selling stuff and saying that he wants wire transfers, western union, or asks for payment to be sent as a gift, all it means is that you WILL be violated...lol.

i have found some really good deals and when payment methods were fishy, i will skip it in a heartbeat. keep your hard earned money before you shell it out on a scammer.
