I haven't been down that way since like 99 when Floyd flooded out the place, my mom used ot live across the street from my grandmother (with 4 cousins on the same 1/2 mile of road) and we lost our house and about 3/4 of our stuff (We had already packed up to move before FLoyd hit) and my grandmother had to have the inside of her house redone and most of her stuff went in the trash too. Anyways I'll probably come down there in April or May after I graduate from college and start at Wyotech, we should set up a meeting and hang out, it'd be nice to have something to do other than sit on the farm with no cable (main reason I havent been down in so long ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO except wander in the back forty and maybe wander over to Greenvile or Kinston mall (both of which suck. Would be nice to actually hang out at a shop, get some advice on how they work since I want ot open my own shop in the future.
That sucks that you lost so much in Floyd! I hope you didn't lose anything irreplaceable! So many people lost things with huge sentimental value, or priceless collectibles, or memoirs. We've been here since '97, we moved from Phoenix, Az. One of my friends lost her house because the flood waters ruined the downstairs. You should definitely come down here in April or May! You could come to the car show my car club is putting on if you want-it's April 29, 30, and May 1. It'd be awesome to have someone around who actually knows what I'm talking about when I talk about cars, most of my friends just look back and me and say okaaaaay. I have a couple of friends who have shops and I know some 240 people, so I think you'd have fun.

That would rock, and yes I understand where you are coming from about people looking at you weird, I have 1 buddy at school who I can talk for hours about cars with, everyone else just looks at me like I'm nuts. If you ever want to chat outside of the boards IM me on AIM my s/n is Gothik01. would be nice to have someone to talk to aside from buddy at school (yes I realize how that sad that makes me sound)

Okay, that'd be cool! My im name is amybeth8483. It doesn't sound sad, I'm the same way, I have few friends who know what I'm talking about. My best friend (girl) has a 1997 Neon with a kit and system, but she's more about looks, and I'm more about performance. We used to joke that since I didn't have a kit, when we went to shows, she had the "show" and I had the "go".

Me and my buddy are the same way, he's all show and I'm more about all go. I prefer the sleeper look myself, everything blacked out so you cant see what lurking inside. I added you to my buddy list but I'd feel more comfortable if you IM'd me first, don't want to come across like a stalker...

Just out of curiosity how much attention have you gotten from your friends, after I got in mine everyone was like OMG at first then after about a week they were like meh... Just sucks that I had to be without a car for over a month but hopefully I'll be the proud owner of a 95 240sx tomorrow (even if it is a automatic)

I've gotten a lot of attention from friends, I have a lot of friends I know from different parts of my life, school, cars, etc. I have a lot of flowers and balloons. But of course they all have busy lives so they can't be around all the time, but they've all been taking the time to check up on me. I hope you do get that 95. After the transmission swap it'll be all good!

good googamooga....that is an ugly mess there

hopefully you can at least salvage most of the parts...i wrecked mine at about 15 mph...i couldnt imagine what that kinda speed would have done to my car. Well, it probably would have been about the same as yours now that i think about it. Good luck with your recovery, if i was closer by i'd help pull stuff from the car. I hope you get to build another one just like it.

PS-you need to post a pic of you holding a sign that says "NICO 4 Lyfe suckas" w/ the mean mug gangsta face..while pointing at your injuries like they show how gangsta you are...

No, I live in Greenville, about an hour fifteen minutes away. One of my ex's who is now a friend lives there though. I didn't see too many 240's there, except for a baby blue one with a kit, and that was on winter cruise tour, so he might not have been from there. Does anyone in your group ever come to greenville (or g-vegas as some people call it)? We've got a pretty good number of 240s around here too.

I have salvaged more than I thought i'd be able to. The cool thing is that I'll be able to recreate what things about my car I loved and change a couple that I wasn't quite happy with.Lol, that picture would be funny, but I think it'd be better if someone else did it because I look about as far from gangsta as you can get. Most of my friends would say I look like the poster girl for "sweet and innocent".

Pains me to see/hear about the car. But you're alive and sounds like you'll be ok, so I'm glad to hear that. As much as it is a pain in the *** to get a new car/fix it up, it can be done. Replacing a life cannot. Glad to see you're in such good spirits.

I would appreciate that Although I've seen a couple on autotrader that I'm thinking about. I'm ready to work on something!
