I haven't been down that way since like 99 when Floyd flooded out the place, my mom used ot live across the street from my grandmother (with 4 cousins on the same 1/2 mile of road) and we lost our house and about 3/4 of our stuff (We had already packed up to move before FLoyd hit) and my grandmother had to have the inside of her house redone and most of her stuff went in the trash too. Anyways I'll probably come down there in April or May after I graduate from college and start at Wyotech, we should set up a meeting and hang out, it'd be nice to have something to do other than sit on the farm with no cable (main reason I havent been down in so long ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO except wander in the back forty and maybe wander over to Greenvile or Kinston mall (both of which suck. Would be nice to actually hang out at a shop, get some advice on how they work since I want ot open my own shop in the future.
That sucks that you lost so much in Floyd! I hope you didn't lose anything irreplaceable! So many people lost things with huge sentimental value, or priceless collectibles, or memoirs. We've been here since '97, we moved from Phoenix, Az. One of my friends lost her house because the flood waters ruined the downstairs. You should definitely come down here in April or May! You could come to the car show my car club is putting on if you want-it's April 29, 30, and May 1. It'd be awesome to have someone around who actually knows what I'm talking about when I talk about cars, most of my friends just look back and me and say okaaaaay. I have a couple of friends who have shops and I know some 240 people, so I think you'd have fun.
