NASA called, the astronauts aboard the ISS were relieved to know the flashing lights weren't gamma rays.

So now I know what to do with my extra set of tail lights for the hatch. I was going to sell them, but now I'm thinking about clearing out the yellow, and LED the **** out of it....hmmm. Great inspiration.

that just depends on how much free time you have. lol it took me maybe 45 minutes to do 21 LED's. well worth it if you ask me.

not a lot of work, just time consuming once you've figured it out.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm glad you like em'. For the record- yes it is time consuming work, but if you want something different, then do it. I work full time, go to school at night, but still find time to do the stuff I like.

Ill start on the passenger side soon & post another vid of the complete swap.

Nice work. I love how bright led tails are i just don't like the look of the little led everywhere, is there a way to put something in front of it to make it look like on solid light?

i have filed down the top of the LED to make it more of a flood light rather than a spot. i think thats what your talking about.

MUST HAVE WRITE UP!

That's neat stuff right there. Not sure if I'd do it to my car personally. Might so some stuff like that with the dash though.

thanks for the inspiration!

I didn't do a write up, because I'm counting on Dammitboy, that he will do it and besides I'm lacking the technical knowledge. I just went to the nearest electronic store. talked to the salesman, what I was going to build and asked him for a bit help and I got the right parts. I installed 117 red LED's in 39 groups. 3 LED's in each group with a resistor and I installed all the 39 groups parallel (i don't know if that's the right word in english) and I was done. if you don't have that helpful salespersons and you know the specifications of the LED's then you can also use this website: http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz

a picture says more than 1000 words.the inside of the lamp:http://car.stage.ee/forum/down...=viewthe result:http://car.stage.ee/forum/down...=view

now i'm going to start with the tail lights centre part (reverse lights) and then going to finish off the sides of tail lights. this has been a very interesting project!
