Truth be told the baking & removing of the lenses was the worst part. I'm ashamed to say I ruined 2 pairs of tails before I got it right.

Awsome mod, and nice job. In your write up you said, bake the light for 1 hr at 175 f, isn't that too long?????? I did black out headlights on my Rsx once and I had to remove the lens, and I only baked it for 12-15 mins max. at 175 f and the lens came out easy.

Anyways, just a heads up to whoever tryes this, - make sure the tail light dosent touch the metal sides in the owen cause they will melt - I used an old towel underneath them so it dosent melt to the rack underneath- the black glue in the lens is a b**** to get off anything , including your hands

Like dammitboy said, check out hidplanet.com. It's a very involved project. I had plans to start mine a year ago then realized how much I needed to learn. I'm just starting my project. good luck to anyone the has plans to attempt anything like this.

"Somebody" does make them, but you got to pay to play! I talked to the owner, super nice guy, about getting a sponsorship on a set of tails. His company is super small, so obviously he said there was nothing he could do.

I spent around $300 for everything. Been nearly 2 years since I did these & they're still going strong!
