UPDATE
I bought the motor today so that is a huge step forward. Just waiting on getting the clutch have to save up for it and the flywheel. In the meanwhile I am going to go get the accessories that I thought were going to come with the motor but didn't. I hope my shifter bracket comes in tomorrow so I can have the complete kit. Well Ill post up pics now in case anyone wants some. Also I think it was fate I didn't think the throttle body would be jacked up but that one was but oh well I bought an extra a while ago :)

used a small toyota pickup to get my VH home, next time I will keep the engine closer to the tail gate, my engine hoist won't reach to the cab. That kit looks nice as well.

I wish I had a bigger truck like a titan but oh well what I did was slightly drag the engine closer to the tailgate then picked it up. And thanks I like the kit as well I just need to have it fully put in so I can give a full review on it.

Well was test fitting the motor today. I gladly found out I most likely wont have to remove the brake booster to install :) . Now I am just waiting on the clutch in order for me to install the motor and hopefully not having to remove it again. But everything seems like it will able to fit just fine and dandy.

Good to hear so far. How's the clearance between the oil pan & sway bar? Xcessive's directions say they may need to be modified to fit there. I just got all my parts in from Xcessive, just waiting on the engine being rebuilt.

Also, did you know Xcessive is working on a cheaper header alternative to Maxworx?

Man, I must say that I'm truly impressed by your build there will always be people who complain but remember one persons opinion is exactly that an opinion.
Truly just be patient with your build I have been working on build for 2years on my 240 1jz project. Keep up the good work and you defiantely motivated me to do my own wiring harness for my 1jz swap.

The sway bar I havent truly found out what the deal with was because I dropped it in order to give more room to play with. But it looks like there might be a slight issue with it later but a small one. Yeah Rich was telling me about it. But I plan on making my own since right now I'm on my dads budget right now during the time before boot camp I plan on paying as much as I can. Also thats good to hear onlydrinkkoolaid 240Love that you I encouraged you I was scared of it a little but doesn't hurt to learn only makes it better for you in the long run. Ill post pics of the engine fitment later also what I had to do to the sway bar if I have to do anything to it. Thanks

Sorry if it has been a while nothing has really happened since except for recieving the clutch and flywheel and the install of those items. I am getting a Q if it is still available tomorrow to use for parts so that will pretty much be the end for getting parts plus I am going to keep the diff. :naughty:.
Well here are some pics of when I did the first and the clutch and flywheel installed. It is the Z1 TT clutch and flywheel kit. The engine was hard to mount to the transmission had to wiggle it like hell in order for it to close the gap but finally got it in after about 2 hours after figuring that was the way to do it. Now I just need to get a couple parts like the SPL bronze shifter bushing because I lost the stock plastic ones  and get the exhaust manifolds made so I can really have the car close to starting.

Well sorry for the double post but today was good news I got a parts car for all my q45 part needs well mainly just engine parts. It has an amazing 114xxx on the clock and got it for 400 running and actually drove it home. :naughty: So at this rate if everything goes decent smooth I will finish before friday. That Q inspired me just how it can pull hard while weighing in at two tons. Its an amazing car for 400 but after I get my parts I am throwing the rest of the car away :frown: oh well. Im sorry for posting so many pics but its more as you can see better on everything.

Looks like everything is coming along nicely. I would love to see some pics of the motor installed into the bay, also a pic of your clearance between the oil pan & front sway bar would be good. Did your hood close properly?

Looking good btw!

Non-ABS Brake Booster from an automatic S14 fits perfect. Check out my build. If you have any questions, I'm here to help.

You have to make sure the crankshaft is centered as best you can between the frame rails. If the brake booster won't fit like that, get another one, don't sacrifice the integrity of the engine location.

Well good news tonight the car started . But no video sad to say. It has been having trouble starting up but now its running nice and smooth. Thanks everyone. Also when I moved the motor it was a little off to begin with and it only about a quarter inch from being fully center. So I dont feel too bad about that position, but thanks for the notice on that I really appreciate it I would have never looked. Now I just need to make an exhaust and then finish up on a couple things I am planning on running no power steering for the meanwhile need the workout.

Well here is an update the car runs beautifully. Well if anyone wants to know a kill I beat a G35. Also I am amazed by the mounts they do not feel like they would be solid. They hardly vibrate anything. When I get a camera I will record. Also during the race of the g35 I had no tach and was using the force haha but I shifted early in second and probably third and still was pulling quite a bit. The mounts are amazing and I had to use the fuel pump from the q because the stock one just quit.

Maybe I missed it somewhere when i was reading through but what mounting kit did you go with? It didn't look like a Mazworx kit and Wouldn't mind checking out other options.

I used the xcessive manufacturing mount kit. Its a solid mount kit but in my opinion it is not rough at all it feels as if it had bushings. The VH is a smooth motor. Also the shifter repositions the shifter slightly back from stock but it is still good.

What was the reasoning behind the choice of this kit over others?

Alright, I've been searching high and low to find the info needed but just can't seem to find the right place. Since you are coming from the same place I am with a donor car, can you specify what all parts of the wiring harness is need from the Q45? I was reading something about under the dash in another thread and still didn't get the answer I was looking for. And FYI, I am aware that the ECU is under the dash, pretty sure it's on the passenger side kick panel, just not sure if more wiring other than those going to that is what was being talked about.
