No. Not at all the point of this thread. Don't be that guy.

If you spent money on Rota's, then rock 'em. Why lie to ppl and try to make them seem like they're something they aren't? Do ppl's opinions matter that much to you?

MR2's 18 x 10 + 35 for 400 at rhdjapan

*

Flaken HANABI 17 x 9 + 20

for like 170$

teddy has these

*

JIC J force 18 x 9 for 320$

*

enkeir RPF1, this look great in a chrome, or gold finish. if your a baller :p

*

centerline split spoke, they can make these in 18 x 9.5 and 17's but I cant find the price. the smaller versioj are only 200$ tho

and much more. most of these wheels demand coilovers and side skirts of some sort, but you get the idea.

no its KMC that makes the wheel but they made them via partnership.

also before I go, tramont makes some sick wheels. I think they're expensive, but they they're rare... no one uses them

also Fikse is dope.. new company

but also expensive, 600 - 700 or thereabouts

I've been following threads on another forum about Rota's.

For sometime, guess what? They've actually been making quality cast wheels, even when tracked.

With that said, now they're not so bad as everyone crys about.

Rota makes copies....

brand loyalty makes the products and companies we buy from BETTER

I dont want the import scene becoming only Isis and CX racing parts. that would suck for all of us.

I have a few personal reasons for not buying knockoffs. They hurt the community, they're proven to be weaker than the wheel they ripped off, and they're almost always a lot heavier.

This is a really good thread showing affordable but good wheels. I might have to refer back to it in the future.

In the case of Rota, I've compared their weight to that of the original wheels and found the increased weight nothing to cry about. Were talking 1 or 2 lbs here. And on their strength, here's something to consider:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...96503(be sure to read it all to have the proper context)

Cliff's notes: -Rota sells alot more wheels than most other companies. So you may hear of a failure more frequently because there are more of them on the road. But in reality, high priced wheels fail wheel from time to time too.

-Wheel failure is pretty rare actually, but Rota customer service seems to be topnotch, taking care of any issues it hears about fairly quickly and satisfactorily.

Here's another. Over 100 pages of Rota loving Subaru picture thread:http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...ge=98

Cool! Exactly why I made the thread. With Kalypso's help, it's turned out even better than I hoped though...

Replica Mustang wheels... Aren't these TSW knockoffs?

Wait wait... 18x10+22 with a 5.5 inch lip?!

4lug love... 17x10+22 with a 3.16 inch lip. Is their hub bore the same as our? Can anyone confirm if 4lug Mustang wheels fit or not?

Nice. Starting at $140 for a 4lug 17x10+25... That's even cheaper than Rota!

Wait really? Can you post pics of s13's with 4 lug Mustang wheels? Because I see that these are listed as 4x4.25 and isn't that the same as 4x100? It should be 4x4.5 to equal 4x114.3 I think...

I think only 5 lug Mustang wheels fit, according to this: zerothread/81407

That will suck, if so...

Oh well. We tried.

In the beginning it wasn't so clear to me. But years later, the decision to go 5 lug is so obvious now.

BTW, I have fallen in love with those Black Chrome Godspeed Omega's for my Zenki. About $1200 for a set of 18x10+22 and they're supposed to be under 25lbs. They're only about $200 more than the 18x10+20 Rota SVN R's I was looking at. But the Omega's have 2 inches more lip. They're still knockoffs though...

Fikse is not a new company, they have been winning championships since 1994, I can't get a date on when they started, might be new for the tuner world but these are, IMO just as good as a set of BBS's or anything out of Rays.

Sim if your buying wheels these are at RB for the same price (1180 17 x 8 +22 / 17 x 9 + 28 )

RB is still the spot for nice wheels.

their prices are going down due to the economy.

^^^ I know all about RBwheels. And I almost never see sizes there that I want. That's the problem with buying used... You gotta take what you can get and often times settle. I go there almost weekly looking for cheap BBS LM's...
