Man, I was soooo ready to laugh my a** at you for such a retarded question.... god, I'm glad I actually searched first before I opened my mouth... Because apparently, yes, those wheels are 24 karat gold plated...

http://blog.cardomain.com/2008...olk-r/

Damn, I thought they were just painted or powder coated that way! Jesus H. Christ!

I still love those shiny gold wheels ppl used to use back in the day, before all this matte gold stuff caught on. I'm trying to find out whether or not that look can be duplicated with powdercoating and this was the best example I could find... Apparently, this finish is called 'translucent gold' or 'gold-chrome'. Not as baller as gold plating, but still

Has anyone run the svn's in size 18x10+20 up front , or any wheel that size up front without goin to an overfender setup on a S13?

I haven't seen that size on an s13 yet. But i have seen 18x10.5+18 Enkei RPF1's on stock s13 fenders, so the SVN's should fit too. They might need a tiny spacer to clear the suspension, though. And you're gonna need stretched tires, rolled fenders for sure.

NEWS FLASH!Rota is working on a new version of everybody's favorite wheel! While the P45-R3 is still in developement, the goal is for it to possibly be Rota's first 18x12 wheel!source: http://www.wheeldude.com/wordp...eview

Nismo LMGT- who? Rota ain't playin wit y'all no more!

That's sweet, looks like it is going to be very sexy new version. I hate that they are making it better after i already bought my P-45R's )= And i want to trade for hyper black because of you instead of my matte black lol. Stop making me less satisfied with my wheels! hah jk maybe one year when i fix up my coupe ill get some new wheels. After those ^^ Come out. 12 inches seems wide though, but the deep dishness looks nice.

12 inches is really wide. I can't really think of who that wheel would be marketed to... Supra's maybe? Everyone else would almost certainly have to be running a widebody kit.

Most newer cars that might be able to fit 12 inches wide would want large diameter wheels like 19's or 20's, IMO. I think maybe the 18x12 mock up is probably just concept art and the producation model might be slimmer.

But anyways, it looks like it's gonna have both a concave face and a fat lip...

The Rota RB's are a good looking wheel with really nice offsets. But I don't like recommending them because 17x8.5 inches is the widest they offer unless you wanna go widebody. Recommending a size will depend on how much work you're willing to do.

But you can either call Rota directly for them, get them from Wheeldude.com, or order them from Discount Tire or your local performance shop.

http://www.rotawheels.com/contactus.sht ... al...6_404

I'd recommend calling Rota directly first, because I often hear of them offering great prices for buying direct and great sizes that aren't published on most websites.

That is disappointing. There are definently threads around NICO where ppl say they have ordered directly from Rota. Did you ask him for something crazy or outlandish?

Ehh... No Rota flaming allowed in this thread. You're safe here... lol

I was wondering if these diamond racing steelies would look better in 17x9 +0 or 16x9 +0.Any thoughts?

I called today and asked about rota grid in a 17x 9 Kim said," the rims are in production right now and would not be available for 2 months." So probably right around Feb 2010. I can't wait.

They have Grids in 18x10+35, but I really need them to release some Grids in 18x10+20... I wonder if they have plans for that? I want those wheels so bad, but I don't wanna use no stupid spacers...

The production 18x10" is already released, the 18x12 is definatly not just a concept its in final development and testing now.

Both the 18x9.5/10 and the 18x12 have been my own idea, and ive invested into having Rota make these sizes.

The idea is to bring some originality to Rota's designs, if Rota come up with their own designs, then there is nothing to slate, their quality is without question (I know theres some pictures of broken rotas on the net, but all have a story behind them)

I have personally sold 100,000 Rota wheels without one failure, thats pretty damn good whatever the wheel brand.

All being well there are going to be plenty of new wheels from rota as originals.

18x12" is aimed at widebodied 200sx in the main, I have got them made for the UK drift market, where most have overfenders

The dish may be too extreme to allow a high offset for supra fitment, but we shall see.

Even the 18x10" have a good sized dish.

With regards to the question on the 18x10 et35 grids, Rota produce it in 18x10 et15 and 18x9.5 et20 also.

I have both in stock (in the UK)

Regards

J

Ignore the crap fitment on the rear, thats a 18x9.5 et30 with 25mm spacer

Normally runs 18x10 et15 on the rear, + the spacer

Excuse the fitment, and the height of the car, I was going through a stretched tyre phase

This is still my favourite Rota wheel, 17x9.5 et-19

We have done several sets on the S13 200sx, but its a bit too extreme for the front, even with wide fenders

Working on a 17x9 et0 at the moment

You just bombed my thread with all kinds of delicious awesomeness.

Can you provide a link displaying these sizes you've mentioned for sale? Specs and whatnot? They are certainly news to me, especially the 18x10+15 Grids and 18x10+? P45Rs...

EDIT: Did a quick google search and found this on some UK forums...18x10+15 Grids, 225/40/18 with no spacers...

Sneaky peak

We have it coming in blue 'anodised' and red 'anodised'

This is a unique wheel imo, really no-one can say we have copied anything with this one

Those anodized colors are interesting. What are the specs on the red P45R? Because the lip looks alittle wider then I have seen.

I would love a pair of P45r's in 17x10 +30, with a 3" lip.

Its a P45R2

Its the same wheel as on the matt green S14 above

Essentially its a P45F but with a big lip, the smaller version of the 18x12" above

Now that I look closely, the contacts page at RotaWheels.com does list you as the UK distributor... The sites that we have available to us in the U.S. don't list any thing about these new wheels. Do you know if we can just call the North American distributor and start requesting these sizes as well? Or are they only available in the UK?

Fourlug... No one talked s*** on your 962's when you got them. Just about everybody congradulated you on your badass fitment with wheels that are often looked down upon.

So now that you've got some wheels with some more notoriety, that's no reason to come in bashing these Rotas. At least these won't need ginormous spacers to fit flush.

So, if you have nothing positive to contribute to this thread, I'll kindly ask you to keep it moving, homie.
