What does offset mean?

Wheel weights
Provides a great collection of wheel weights by diameter, but does not tell you weights by width(so it may be off on certain wheels because of width differences)...still a good 'rule of thumb' type guide to what wheels are worth buying for weight saving purposes.

More wheel weights and specs
Like the site above, provide lots of useful wheel information, weights, bolt patters, finishes, etc.

Information on Wheel types/construction and pros and cons of each. Great practical info for what type of wheels you should buy, and why. Thanks to GRM.

Plus sizing information, performance, etc. Track times, plus-sizing concept and feedback on what it does and why, again thanks to GRM.

Suzuki uses 60.06 hub bore. While the models Aero and Swift use a 4-4.5 blot pattern, the hub bore is too small to fit the 66.06 Nissan hub. No fit.

Toyota:
most all toyota cars use smaller hub bore than Nissan, hence the wheels no fit! Several cars such as the '75-85 Celica GT RWD use 4-4.5 bolt pattern with a 60.06 hub bore. No fit. Avalon uses 5-4.5 with the same 60.06 hub bore. Again, good bolt pattern, bad hub bore. Others:
Cressida, Corolla RWD, All Supra incl. Turbo use 60.06 hub bore. Every modern Toyota uses 60.06 or even smaller 54.06 hub bore. None will fit the 66.06 Nissan hub.

No VW

No Volvo (65.07 and 67.07hub bore, but the 67.07 hub bore wheels are the wrong bolt pattern)

More to come later!

A wee bit more wheel & weight info I found while looking for 350z stock & aftermarket weight stuff:

the lighterst 18" wheels for the Z....

NISMO LMGT4's = 18lbs each
Volk TE & LE 37T = 19lbs each
Volk CE / LE 28N = 18lbs each
ENKEI RPF1 = 18lbs each
ENKEI NT03+M = 18lbs each

...

track wheels are 18.X lbs... close to 19lbs each.. but 8" and 8.5" while the nismo wheels are wider and a couple of ounces less...

...

SF Challenges are the lighter weight wheels from Volk... The SF Winnings add an extra 4lbs... depending on size...

18" SFC's are going to be around 19lbs my guess

My SSR Comp-Hs are pretty light.

18 x 9 (f) = 18.5 lbs
18 x 10.5 (r) = 19.4 lbs.

the 4X108mm SAAB wheels for the 900's and 9000 have a 65mm hub center and so do the newer 9-5 and 9-3 with the 5X114mm or 5X4.5 bolt pattern.

The newer 9-3/9-5 Saabs are 5x110.. I ran into that when trying to get my wife new wheels for her '00 9-5 Combi

Merkur XR4Ti is 4x108 (same as audi 4000 quattro) and is RWD, contrary to what many think
Merkur Scorpio is 5x108, and is also RWD

I'm thinking of running a staggered combo and am thinking of using 225/45-17 and 255/40-17's. Can anyone suggest a rim width/offset/backspace that will work, or would it be better to run the same at all 4 corners? (other than the ability to rotate). 1992 coupe, no suspension mods (YET!)
