+1
Anyone building a scraping shakotan-style ride isn't going to be tracking it, and they probably only take it out once in awhile.
My Miata is probably going to be sparking on the ground, but I'm really only building it so I can drive around sparking on the ground, lol. I'll have fun with that for a few months and then sell it and buy something a *little* more practical.
Not every car need be trackable. Non-functional stuff is only lame when the owner/builder claims that it has functionality that it does not. If someone is making no pretenses about a given car's abilities and is instead just doing whatever they want to it just because they happen to like it, it's totally subjective and thus a little silly to critique.
I want a LOW car with a 3-foot boso pipe, tons of oni camber, flares, and a godawful boro "paint" job because I'm the only 20-something living in my little upscale neighborhood and I want to generally scare the piss out of all the young yuppie families + elderly people there. I don't need any better rationale than that.
