Well that is more forgivable than what the police did. The police is the reason an innocent concerned model citizen it getting all sorts of hate mail and threats. So Obama was right, the police did act stupidly. Not because they arrested gates, but because they threw one of their own citizens under the political bus.

She didn't state during the 911 call that they were Black (which was what all the hubbub was about).

She DID state, when police arrived at the scene, that the person was Black. She also described their attire. That's kinda what you do when you're describing someone, and it's perfectly appropriate. Gender, race, clothing, height, etc.

If there was any lying, they'd be all over it. There's not. What we DO have (and have had all along), is more manufactured racism from a bunch of people who can't seem to find a way to navigate society to their advantage, and cry "racism" at every available opportunity.

Like the quote in my post stated, The 911 caller stated at a press conference that she made no such description. She also made it clear that she NEVER had a conversation with Crowley. I don't understand why you believe she spoke with the police and described the suspect as a black man since it never happened.

Also, "Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert C. Haas has said that the police report is a summary, with descriptions - like the race of the two men - being collected during the inquiry and not from the initial 911 call."

I do blame the people themselves obviously who are making the threats and such, but the police were absolutely instrumental in the terrible treatment of the 911 caller.

The error in this case is that Gates was arrested for shouting and being disorderly when state law says that is allowable. In most other states Gates would have been guilty of a crime.

So, you have a black man who immediately starts shouting racism when being questioned by a white person. Sounds pretty common in today's environment where the race card is used for preferred treatment.

Obama was stupid for his statement without being aware of the details. No, you can't convince me that he was aware of the law either.
