mack is a good guy for sure. great customer service and stands up to his products. i'm running one yellow and one red mount right now. the red one is melting a bit and it does crush if you tighten the nut down too much. i think the red one is the semi-solid one he is talking about. its basically a single bolt through a piece of poly.
