Im going to try some Be Cool fuid in it and see what happens. Before I put my bumper on I was running around 175-178 all the time, then I put my front bumper on, Which restrics the flow and then I seen temps in the 180 range, Then it heated up to 90 outside and after a couple of pulls I was near 200.

I bought the r33 radiator off Zilvia.

I have a new 160 thermo in it, Its also the Stock water pump.

I just changed my Electric fan setup, I think thats going to help alot, But my coils are bad now so it will be a bit before it gets tested.

u need a t-stat, install a n1 water pump, that helped my 26 allot, a colling plate, that helped sorta, try water and water wetter, instead of rad fluid, water transfers heat allot beter, and a koyo rad made a world of difference as well

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Nothing cools better then the stock clutch fan....make it fit.

I got the Griffin Rad and clutch fan setup and I went from temps of

95-100 C -or- 203-212 F

to now

70-83 C -or- 158-181 F

RB ran real crappy at the higher temps...now shes never been better.

The highest I ever saw was 83 C and that was at idle for a half an hour. normally I'm between 70-80 driving and when I get on it alittle bit she actually cools down!

What about a custom shroud under the radiator ( Or stock under car shroud)? or on the sides....This will help the air pull through the radiator instead of just sitting there..Its also directs air, Because if there is no shroud the fan will be pulling air from every where and not through the radiator. The Direction of air is key. It makes a world of a difference in temps, Because your fans can be pulling all the air in the world but if that air is not directed properly then it would of been pointless to have such strong fans. (Just my two cents)

P.S Forgive me if you do have a shroud dont remember reading about it!!

Well since this thread has started I have done a Million mods towards cooling the car.

I have not been able to drive it much since I added the custom under shroud and the new fan setup. Im also planning on getting rid of the FMIC when I go to propane. So that will allow for more air to come in.

question? Are you sure that it is properly full. Not just the radiator but the block is full of radiator fluid? I would get air bubbles with my rb setup. Anyhow, was having the same issues with my ka s13 found that the KOYO i was using was crap. Got one of the mishimoto rads replaced with redline water wetter coolant and distilled water. Follow the water wetter instructions and put your car on jacks and lift the nose as high as possible. Once done check your coolant level and flow.

I also agree with air flow direction. Get some thin sheet metal and create ducting on bottom and around the radiator. you also gotta wonder if that FMIC is screwing you on air flow.

yup 100% block and radiator is full with no air bubbles. I always Jack my car up and let it run for at least 30 mins getting the air out.

I have already fabed some aluminum for air duck under the car:

I think i have my cooling issue fixed, (have not got to drive it much due to coils crapping out)
