I use the griffin radiator with flex-a-lite double pusher with the built in shroud wired to a painless thermo switch on one fan and a manual switch in the cabin for the other fan. Works great

it doesn't matter how thick your radiator is. Its a heat exchanger and the quality of job they perform is the frequency that they pull heat out of the coolant.

Regardless of price, Griffin > Godspeed

But as I noted before C&R is the way to go.

why do you prefer C&R? are they significantly better than griffin?

thanks for your time

A simple answer is..."if its good enough for indy cars and nascar, its good enough for me".

C&R makes some top notch stuff. When considering weight, space restrictions, etc. they hit them all. Yea you can get a "generic" aluminum radiator. Thick, yes. But when you're concerned and talking about size requirements, weight, rate of heat transfer, etc. mine as well go all out, IMO.

Griffins are a great piece as well.

Either way, make sure she stays cold

Well I solved my cooling problems with a Generic Aluminum r33 radiator for 230$ shipped. My tempts doesn't exceed 170 now.

the problem with koyo and godspeed radiators is the fin spacing...its just too effin close.with my one-off griffin core and a clutch fan ive never seen coolant temps above 88*c even in 90* heat...car gets colder when i do a pull too lol.

The taurus fan fit as a puller? I didn't think it'd be enough room for it...hmm...Though, the radiator I plan on using is the Mishimoto (1.75in)

If it DOES fit, that'd be awesome, because I already have one. lol

How much did that PBM radiator cost, shipped?

no. WAY to big. barely fits as a pusher too. had to do LOTS of trimming. i actually took it out and replaced it with a mishimoto, but it didnt fit as a puller either. well it might have. but i didnt like the clearance... just too little for me.

BTW, what is the normal running temp of an rb25? in F and in C?

Well guys I drove the other day when it was about 85-90 degree's out and I be damn if my temps didn't start rising again. As long as its about 70-80 degree's outside I run about 180 degree's. the other day I hit 200 degree's.

I have put the Greddy oil cooler on it with the r33 radiator and 2 12" pusher fans. What else can I do? It also runs like **** at 180 degree's it wants to die out when coming off rpm's. Anything below 180 is like night and day. Any suggestions?

just a quick thought, have you looked inside the block when doing the water pump? what was the condition of the cavities?

and forgot if you did any type of ducting.

I ran all day at 170* @ 90* atmopheric temps.

Twin FAL, KOYO, oem water pump, thermo, and oil cooler. Give that with a huge turbo causing great under hood temps (which btw is wrapped along with manifold and dp).

What gauge are you using to read these numbers?

And if anything, leak down test your cylinders and make sure their not blowing hot compression gas into the cooling system.

The Block was dipped into the Hot tank when built. All the water jackets were completly cleaned of corrosion.

Im using AutoMeter Gauges with the auto meter sensor.

I did a Radiator test a long time ago to make sure I was not getting any gases in the fluid. It tested Neg.

I also have my manifold Wrapped with heat wrap.

Yes I have a Huge FMIC, Its like 12" tall by 3" wide By I think 36" Long.

I have extra billet holes in my front bumper also for extra air access, I also did make some ducting.

I thought I had done it all But it still doesn't like me.

Also where is the water temp sensor the ECU reads from? And what sensor do I buy to replace it?

how much more flow does the N1 water pump have? At Idle and Hot I barley see the water flowing until I bring the engine Rpm's up than it flows good. I still have stock pump on.
