i used to run royal purple in my ka. i beat on it to no end, i got an ecu off a friend that let it rev to 7700 and believe my i reved it too but i didnt care either lol. ive heard royal purple sucks but i never found out coz the shop i was working stocked it and i got for free so i changed my oil every 500 miles just coz i could. I HAD A CLEEEEEAAAN MOTOR lmao

sr was just a way to save a buck,only thing good about it is you can find any part for it easily

it was a cheap replacement to keep cost down. u can read it on the Wik or straight from nissan, i believe its on their site somewhere

ca18det was too expensive to keep making for the car model it was going in.SR has weaker valvetrain,uses timing chain instead of belt and aluminuim block,not better just cheaper.And now im stuck with a sr trans,lol
