Can anyone comment on the size of the water passage holes in the head gasket? Are they supposed to outline the passages on the block and head, or be smaller?

THEY ARE SMALLER FOR HIGHER WATER PRESSURE. THEY MAKE WATER JET INSERTS TO KEEP PRESSURE UP.

I can see that. Since this all really doesn't apply to replacement parts, I decided to make a new thread about the cooling info.

Got my head studs back from Paeco, they look totally different than the last ones. Huge nut/washer and different stud material. I emailed em to see what kind of metal they are. Going right now to see if it fits in the block.

Yay, the nuts are too big. They won't fit past the cams or even into the cylinder at all. I am emailing Paeco to see if I can just get my money back.

I am not happy at all with their products and would not recommend them for anything custom.

They also forgot to reimburse me for shipping costs.

Paeco cannot make properly sized nuts for 11mm studs. Everything is getting sent back and I am getting a full refund.

So, I have to ask now, will RB25 studs/bolts fit an RB20? I think I heard someone here getting them from ARP.

I THINK THE RB25 ARE BIGGER. ALTHOUGH I'M NOT CERTAIN BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REFRAIN FROM OPENING UP THAT ENGINE.

300ZX Z32 SHOULD WORK. THERE ARE A COUPLE COMPANIES THAT SELL THEM. THERE IS A B/S/T FROM JAMISON I THINK THAT HAS RB20 COILPACKS THAT WILL WORK.

Will the maxima 84-01 clutch work on the RB25 cuz you can get an ACT that will hold "449 ft/lbs" torque.

Does anyone know what transmission fluid should be used in the RB25? I know the RB25 transmission is different from the KA/SR/RB20.

Ok I emailed Courtesy Nissan about the idler pully and tensioner. They have the tensioner in stock but the Idler is something like a 6 week wait. I haven't got a price yet but shouldn't be too damn bad I'm ordering as soon as I get the reply about the prices.

The shifter for a RB25DET is not the same as the SR/KA/RB20.

More on spark plugs...

You can cross reference at clubplug.com (I believe) between autolites, ngk, etc.

My rb25 came with autolites #3924-11 which is the same for ngk iridiums bkr6eix-11.

I was going for just standard or platinum plugs but the iridiums were on sale for $6.50 a piece. I ordered today, don't know how long the sale is.

The RB25DET shifter has larger diameters on the end that has the nylon sleeve which goes into the transmission, and the pivot ball at the top of the transmission.
