I ran a 13.7@99mph in my almost stock RB20. Only mods I had at the time were 3" exhaust all the way back from the stock 02 housing, PFC and some 205/50 Drag radials. My friend just took his Rb25 HB to the 1/8 mile this weekend n ran a best of 9.0@80mph he has more mods than me.

9's in the eighth, damn thats slow for a modded 25. I used to run mid 8's with my old 95 Grand AM GT with exhaust and intake.

Your friend can't drive. No wonder you don't like RB25's. 9.0 1/8th with 275rwhp?

damn guys, cut throat... sheesh! As yellow4g63 said, the purpose of the night was to learn the rb25. First time taking it to the track. Reason i was sleeping at the line was because i was more focused on where to launch at then if i were to beat the other guy i was racing. learned a couple of things. . .my rb25 doesnt like to launch less then 3-3.5k. I get slower MPH, now if i launch at around 3.5k, i get CRAZY wheel spin (bs tires, i dont even know the brand) but my MPH shoot up like 10 if i ride out the wheelspin without shifting early. and yes, the rhd still gets me at times. I think i had 2 of 9 runs without either a)hitting the rev limiter or b)missing a gear. also, i REALLY like 3rd gear on this car it starts to pull nicely and the manual (plz no comments on this either!) boost controller gives me around 9lbs of heavenly pressure. before that, its basically stock 7. thanks for the encouragement guys. . .wait, i mean kick in the balls. . .lol

i am in the ann arbor area, i run at milan drag way. i will be going here within the next few weeks to test out the new setup. i went from stock exhaust mani, stock intake mani, and a t4 gt30 and swaped in a custom made top mount mani, made by a shop in the area, a modified veilside intake mani with 90mm throttle body and a T4 gt3545r with q trim wheel. if you are in the area come on down to milan my aim is turbogsrb18c1

I don't see how that is possible though.

There are three Z06's at Commerce that run almost every Grudge night. They run, in stock form, with best times of 12.8 and 12.9, over and over. I have myself on DVD racing two of them and beating them. So I don't see how a stock Z06 can run low high 11s in stock form.

And what everyone is forgetting about. POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO. You can have a 500whp car, that weighs 3800lbs, and it WILL be beat by a much less powerful car that has less weight. It is almost a rule of thumb man. Come on. I am not arguing with you, I am just letting you know the facts.

And if you want to mention a 300whp car that weighs about 3000 lbs with me in it, and I am hitting 12.06 repeatedly, with stock suspension? Ummmm yeah. I got proof.
Stock z06s Dyno upwards of high 300rwhp , more like 370-390rwhp range stock. They weight 2900lbs stock, and they have better weight transfer so they get better 60ft. Dont look at what other people run at the track most of them are tools that cant drive. Even my idiot non driving friend with his 03' z06 that had nothing but borla and intake ran 12.0X@120mph all day long i think he ran 11 times and 6-7 times he hit that number. The 60ft was 2.0X everytime. I've seen guys cut 1.8X 60s on stock tires and experienced drivers do run low 12s. High 11s is very very rear but it has happend.

Btw nice numbers on your car, i bet you surprize the **** out of people on the highway.

I'm not one to get into a discussion like this... but I don't like false info.

Check out this link... looks like a moded ZO6 like your friend's has 358.7 rwhp 344.4 ft/lbs torque... I would have been surprised to see any car loose 10hp through the driveline as 390 stock rwhp would suggest:

http://www.z06vette.com/forums...58038

And from what I've found the car weighs 3130lbs...

I've only heard of stock Z06's running 12.8's stock... and that's a fast time... good driver. I'll find those articles if you want.

My buddy's z06 dyno'd 330whp and he had full headers, exhaust, intake. It was hot out and I guess the car was running really rich. I once raced a z06 with just an intake at the track with my turbo'd V6 Probe GT and beat him by a few hundredths, was a high 12 second run. The z06 driver was a guy in his 50's who'd been racing for many years too.

Well, I work on a dyno. A Z06 came the other day, and put down 330whp. After a "chip" and KN intake, it did 345whp. My stock RB26 on the same dyno did 300whp at 9psi. My only mods are intake and full exhaust. My car weighs 2800lbs, and I have spanked several Z06s and SC Cobras, on the highway and off the line. Of couse, I have KTS coilovers, so the car hooks up nicely.

It's definately got a 12 in it. My IC pipe popped off when I shifted to 4th and I blew up my centerforce clutch the next run. I'll try again w/ ACT though. Here's a horrible vid of that run:blurry 13.1 passBurnout

There is alot of mis-information on Z06's in this thread.

A Stock LS6 Z06 will dyno about 340-350, and usually run low 12's @ 112-114. With a competent driver. And quite a few have hit high 11's. I don't think I've ever heard of any stock Z06's trapping 120 though.

If you'd like I can post links to much of this information.

hmmmm i think everyone should quit posting Z06 info in a thread dealing w/ RB's. Anyways to keep it on topic my brother ran his rb20 on 28' slicks w/ 15 lbs of boost on a supposed hks gt2510 w/ 3 inch straight pipe and he pulled a 12.8 @ 106 w/ a 1.7 60'. btw, can't wait to see that stock sidemount go lol. i think that's the majority of the important info, but if i missed something let me know.

85 Nissan 300ZX with an RB25DET. Just has an S14 Greddy FMIC and a little BOV.. running 10PSI. Everything else stock.

I killed a 1969 Camaro SS fully restored with 400 BB from a redlight dig. I've killed a few other cars in addition, but nothing really special. C4's and a few C5's, Mustangs of all shapes and sizes, and a few Camaro's. I've been eaten alive by an SRT-4 and barely kicked a Lightening back with pulleys and giggle gas.

I have no idea what track time it runs, but I'd guess somewhere in the 12's probably. If I ever get the roll bar and harnesses installed I'll make a track pass. Will probably destroy my clutch though.. heh.

I pick it up from a local shop around here... Acutech Autos... I would'nt recommend them though... pretty shady... the radiator, intercooler, and a bunch of other **** was broken and he did'nt replace any of it.... paid $4100 for the front clip too... pretty much bull****.... Also my front clip had the skyline calipers and struts on it and everything but when I went to pick up the clip, he took them off before hand. When I questioned him about it, he said they're never included when buying front clips... really he's just full of ****... I'd highly NOT recommend them.

im running somewhere in the low 13s to high(veryhigh)12s. havent taken the car to the track, but i gave my buddy 2 car lengths(hes got an s14 with a type x blacktop) and beat him by at least 7 lengths. my car has no exhaust(turbo elbow unto the atmosphere), a 6 button stage 4 clutch, z32 wheels(wider tires), and a welded diff. i imagine if i did some tweeking and got some slicks i could run 12s all day long.

i read this thread and i'd say at least 80% of it just seemed to be "he said, she said".. i mean, i can spank a jet fighter if it's just sitting on the run-way. i think the only one who got the point of it was apex_7 and onefastrb26.

btw, i'm going to shoot you an email sometime onefastrb26, hope u don't mind.
