If it really looks as good as it does in the pictures, then OUTSTANDING JOB.

That's probably THE BEST rattle can job I have ever seen. Dead serious.

Very nice job.

^^^ x2. that looks really good...i'm glad you left the pillars and roof black...hatches look way better like that IMO. When you get the chance take some pictures in the sun. And your getting a new nissan emblem for your hood right? Because it kinda looks like you painted over it.

Will do tomorrow after I install everything back in. That was masked off, if you look in the last picture you can see that it's not painted over.

I hate seeing this kind of thing. I was dead set on getting a HVLP sprayer and a small compressor so I could do a decent paint job. Because we all know that a rattle can job will look like crap right?

Then you show me that job, and $80, and throw my whole world back into doubt. I've seen 2009 factory paint that didn't look that good.

Same here, I already had the compressor though. But when I saw how Teddys car came out I changed my mind.

Teddy's car is NOT like. your car. Sorry Teddy!

But in his defense, he probably didn't do nearly the prep work and sanding. I'm sure if he put in all the effort you did, it'd come out like that too.

I had bought 5 cans of clear. When I sprayed the clear on the roof of the car the paint started to lift and crack so I just stopped with the clear. It looked shiny then but I was hoping it would keep it as it dried but its still the same. Im just going to return the 5 clears tomorrow. Ill be sure to take a picture of what the clear coat did to the paint.

Yeah. As you can see in the pictures we started with just the regular nozzle but then my fingers started to hurt so i went to autozone and came back within 3 minutes with that nozzle grip thing.http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bU0F...e.jpg Edit: Nah, Rustoleum gloss protective enamel.

looks awesome!!!! i had the same problem with the clear coat cracking on me. I find it crazy how the clear coat sold right next to the regular paint isn't compatible.
