thats not too short man, im 5'8 - 5'9, i can good vertical, i can touch the rim, and almost touch the rim with the ball gripped in my hands. i decided to step down from basketball and work afterskool to afford stuff for my crappy 240. and insurance. oh well gotta give up something. are u trying out for varsity? if u are i recommend u practice on hand coordination like dripple 2 basketball with ur hands doing zig zags, step back j's, fast break, left hand layups, shooting with opposite hand that u usually shoot with, and ofcourse free throws. i screwed up on those drills in tryouts, just for ur headsup coaches like it when u run fast breaks and making good plays in traffic. why? because i play a 1 also.

i agree. your method would have looked muck better and would have been quicker, but i chose to do this cause of a bet me and my dad had. he said the paint would never shine . i proved him wrong. he still wont admit he was wrong, probably cause im like 40 yrs younger than him . plus i like doin work, it keeps my away from being bored. and a few picsi still have to do the bumpers and a few reflectin pics (no wax or clear coat)my schedule just changed and now i have basket ball practice for most of the week.(i hope i make the team) if not ill have more time on the car
Give your Dad some time to swallow his ego before pushing the him to admit he was wrong.

I dont know how much conditionin yall do, Im sure yall have to hit scuicides, just dont give up man, If you wanna be better than every single guy on tha team, you can, no doubt. Do tip jumps and hit tha back board 200 times each practice, it pays off.

Wow, props dude. Great job. Nice to see people putting in the effort to do things like this themselves, I need to paint the front clip of my car . . this almost inspires me to do it myself . . . . but then I remember theres 2 feet of snow on the ground and its like -5 here . . shucks

Looks great!

You did the same thing I did over the summer. I spent a little more money on professional grade supplies just because I don't plan on buying another car soon.

I was going to go this route but decided that there is just to much work in painting automobiles. I found someone that will paint my car for 200 buck if I ruff up the existing paint.

He does some good work too.

if there are no clear coat then what happens when your car get scratch, can you still use a clay bar to fix the problem?

just a quick follow up. the paint after two years is starting to peel. i probably didnt remove all the oils from the previous paint. it held the shine from the previous pictures for about a year and a half until i started neglecting (no car washes no wax etc) it. i believe the paint held up well for the price. im not goning to do it again though, a simple BC/CC from summit will be on the car soon. for all those who are considering the rustoleum paint job, make sure that all surfaces are completely free of dust and grease and expect on sanding alot. all this is imo. =)
